British Middle champs. Wasn't feeling 100% in the morning but determined to have a decent technical race. Confirmed this plan when i saw the map. First few were good. Didn't feel like I was flying but seems I was moving OK, 30s up by no. 6. Lost 40s on no. 7 - direction was fine but didn't see the pit when I expected it then couldn't work out any of the veg. Next section was OK. Off line on a few but managed to minimise my errors every time buy slowing down a little - think this was key for the day. Caught Duncan at 19. Made several small mistakes in the last section. pretty scrappy. Managed to minimise them all at least and hold it together to take the win by 40s from Mattt E. Happy! jess smashed it too so made it a worthwhile trip!

British sprint qualifier. Pretty ropey performance. Bit miss ~40s at number 4, 90degree error. Rest was very stop start never ahead of myself. scraped into the final

Briths sprint final - better in patches. Started well. Planning ahead much better. Almost caught Alex on way to no. 6 then overshot same junction he did then proceeded to make a bigger mistake. Middle section then had a few errors and missed some routes. Last section was better though pace wasn't great. Overall better than the morning but still not great

Long run from back road to Tulloch through woods around Pityoulish wth Midge - potentially a great o area - think loch vaa moraine plus some slope stuff. Up and over the hill above the loch (tough and heathery) then down and up through the An Sluggan forest - nice and mature - just quite steep. Onto the meall a buchallie ridge. Didn't find the path until I had done a lot of climb so tough going in the terrain. lots of new natural tree growth which is cool. Ran over Craigowrie then onto the top beyond. Wet and wild and already over 90mins so ran down the ridge heading for home. Midge flagging a bit here in the deep heather. Into some more nice forest then back along the foot of the slop picking up the moraine again and home. Steady pace all the way bit tired by the end.

Putting out tapes for BASOC time trial. tested out new roclite racing shoes. felt pretty good though legs knackered and wearing waterproof so heard to tell!

Original plan was run and gym but gym was shut for bank holiday so wend biking instead. Cracking night for it, no wind either. Intention was not to rag it but soon found myself working hard so pushed all the way round the osprey loop. Felt like I was going well and got a pb of 7s. Boom. Pleased with that. Body must be recovering
