Multitechnique in Loch Vaa open area planned by the swedes. Good fun. First 2 were Ok then no. 3 an absolute shambles. off line the second guessing the window (why?!) so further off line. Took ages to relocate too. 6mins lost and passed by everyone. Pretty pissed off after this. Upped the pace a little - passed andrew then gradually reeled in CK and Spongey. Caught them then pushed on only for Spongey to start tanking it. hard work through the heather and just managing not to get completely dropped, mainly by profiting from his small mistakes. Then made a big 1 min 30 miss but caught him again. Good fun. Harder than I'd plan to run but felt decent in the terrain. 3drerun here - http://3drerun.worldofo.com/?type=info&id=-284748

Long run with Johannes and Midge. New terrain for both of us. Started near bridge of Tromie and ran a circular route up Gleann Chomraig due south then up some hills, highest Meallach mhor - 769. Back down the ridge overlooking Glen Tromie. Legs were obviously a bit tired and the first half was hard work, wet and heathery most of the way. Second half was a delight with the wind behind and path all the way. Good fun. Less volume this weekend before an easy week next week.

Absolute belter of a day - clear blue skies. Legs tired for running so switched to the bike. Did a ride I've not done for ages - 2012 it turns out. From home down the old Spey road out of Grantown - absolutely crackin as always - through Knockando, Archiestown then out at Craigellache. Across to Dufftown - wee stop for a bacon roll, bottle of lucozade and pineapple tart - hit the spot. Then up Glen Rinnes to Glenlivet and along Strath Avon - few wee hills to warm up for the Bridge of Brown - legs tired but passed wiithout incident then great from the all the way home down the long downhill to Nethy. Loved it. Steady pace all the way but felt fine. Quite windy too.

Monaughty forest run. Did this last year so knew what to expect. Was expecting to feel a bit pants after the past few days - proved to be correct. Settled into third behind 2 young guys but legs already feeling a bit ropey. Tried to keep it feeling as easy a possible - this steadily became less easy though. The got a wee gap then pulled away further on the hill. Last downhill track section I was on my own so eased off a little. Felt pretty grim most of the way! 45s down on last year. Seems the weekend + gym and intervals caught up with me Jess won :)

Hamstring feeling wrecked after yesterday...hopefully they'll recover in a better state....
5 reps of the track in the wood, 80s recovery. Thought this could be a struggle and it was. Times were decent though -- 3.28/3.24/3.27/3.31/3.33
so that encouraged me to fight it out.
