Note
(sick)

long hike yesterday then plan was to ride the Aubsque today. sadly jess cold that had been threatening hit with a bang today. Woke up feeling awful - pretty floored. a tough ride just wasn't an option. will have to come back for it.
1hr walk to a lake instead and a lazy time there other than 2 short very cold swims

the tourmalet. Another great day out. sunshine the whole time but not too roasting about mid 20s. perfect.
Was excited about this one and it didn't dissapoint. Legs a bit sore setting out - as much the downhill run as the cycle! But once on the climb they were OK. Managed seated climbing OK bulk of the way and didn't blow up though flagging near the end! Passed 17 folk.
17.2km 1248m. 72.19
21mins down on KOM Robert Gesink in 735th on Strava. Fairly pleased about that but still over 1min/km!!
Cycled back down with jess then still felt OK so went solo to the top of the Col d'Aspin. lower slopes felt pretty easy and whole climb didn't feel too tough though overall taken steadier. Still bigger than anything I'd done before this week!
13km 596m 42.45 outside the top 1000 for this one!

Running 30:00 [3] 8.0 km (3:45 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine

Great day watching le tour. Decided to walk up a hill overlooking the ski resort in the morning. reckoned there was so much space then securing a good spot when we got back down wouldn't be an issue and this turned out to be the case. walked up and ran down. steep but fun. DOMS after it!

great day out on the bikes doing a loop taking in the second half of the tour stage. Awesome stuff. went our own pace from the start of the Port de bales. really cool to be climbing up past the folk parked at the side of the road. loads of cyclists out. manabged to pass 27 on the climb which was good motivation. not passed by anyone.
19.3km 1156m. 74.22 for the effort. some way off a pretty awesome 47.29 KOM in 451 on strava
Then back together and down and up the Peyresourde east side. unsurprisingly quite tired up this climb but didn't blow up. passed 13. one brit who took a while to catch so rode with him for a few mins before the switchbacks.
9.6KM 716M. 43.31 Some was behind a quite awesome 26.44 from Roman bardet!
good day oot

Parked in the motorhome spot at the tour finish at Peyraguedes. Good craic and lovely spot. Wee van made i fine though dwarfed by the big motorhomes!
wee spin up to the village to take in the finish runway - aweseome! Then rode down to Arreu Jess spliting off part way and and tackled the Col du Peyrsoude west side. 17.3km/815m.
55mins for the effort. fairly pleased with that. 10mins off strava KOM iin 124th though no big guns at the top of this one (relatively speaking!)
