orienteering 56:00 [4]*** 7.5 km (7:28 / km)
spiked:14/17c
GB junior and senior training
staying at slocht lodge.

Rogie
pretty tough terrain, after all the rain it was pretty slippy.
took it fairly steady, found the orienteering pretty easy, there are alot of big features and because of the terrain things come up pretty slow.
Running warm up/down 25:00 [1]
running drills taken by liba, the senior physio, jog before and after
orienteering 1:00:00 [3]7.4 km (8:06 / km)
roseisle
map was 1:15000, which made it pretty tough to read on the run.needed to be 1:10000 i felt.

first half pairs exercise, with hector, he told me where to go then we swapped and i would speak him through the terrain. quite tough especially in the circle where there was lots of detail.

2nd half head to head, gaffled, orienteered like a dick and made a mistake on the 1st control, lost about 20s then a big one on the 5th lost probably 1.30+, 6 and 7 were messy but the last two were ok. managed to beat hector but he had a pretty dodgy control in some green which wasn't mapped which threw him alot.

Thursday Feb 28

Note
day off today. feel ok but the past couple of days i've had alot of uni work, project hand in worth about 45% of course, that has left me abit knackered. looking forward to a good nights sleep, getting my uni work and the main cause of my poor last few weeks training out the way.
that is until the essay due for monday anyway, which i've not had time to start writing yet.
i should have done history of art or some other easy pish instead.

reading the logs of people running on deishar and loch vaa just makes it worse.
