Leith Hill

was really up for the race and pleased with my run.
was clean through most of the technical stuff, with only one big mistake at 12 where i got confused and lost 25sec. Also chose to run round the valley to 14 when i think straight was quicker, -20s.

placed 10th on the course with Erik sagvolden the only junior ahead of me in 35.24. Scotia won in 33.45.

really nice forest

After studying the map i knew it was going to be a tricky area, so i set out wanting to be as clean and run as smooth as possible. ran ok, with one big mistake towards the 15th, 30s.
good warm up for the middle

impressive run from Kristian jones to take top junior spot 15.26

Sunday Mar 16

orienteering race (BUSA) 44:48 [4]6.5 km (6:54 / km)
BUSA relay
Beeley Woods

Nice area, the brambles were low enough that they didn't slow you down alot and it was really fast going too.
Felt pretty good, i'll thank Mr Tetleys Smooth for that, and was motivated to have a better run after the dissapointment of the individual.
ran 1st leg and got off to a good start, me and Llewellyn getting away abit on the first loop then he made a mistake and i was on my own for the rest of the race. Once i was on my own it was pretty easy, just took my time and made sure i was smooth through the controls and spiking them and i knew that no one was going to catch up. Cocked up the last one but still gave coombs a bit of a lead, which he lost at number 1:)
Finished 2nd, Pinker just passed James on the last control when he missed after leading for the whole course, and our 1st team dnf'd after Oleg hurt his ankle on second leg and had to be carried off the area.

EUOC bring home the Silverware again.
