| Euromeeting Long
Lost alot of time early on at number 7, the first long leg. I took a poor route choice but the map was crap from the direction i approached the control. Need to work on my route choices. After that took it steady and orienteered ok, but coming into the butterfly for the last time i forgot to punch the control, was thinking too much about the Carb Boom gel i was about to have. from there i boomed it to the finish only to find out i had hiba'd, felt like i had just wasted 113 minutes of my life:) | ||

Sprint model Steep forest on the edge of Miskolc, nice and runable. started of by running a long leg against oleg and john. me and oleg took manly straightish routes and john took the long way round path option. Needless to say me and Oleg were quicker.... Shin and foot feeling fine. | ||

Totally ballsed up the first control, i picked up my map and read that there was a powerline with green underneath it halfway along the first leg. I decided that there wasn't a big distance of green so i'd just go straight and mash through it, as i got closer i noticed the OOB pipeline in front of the powerline.Doh. had to run along the edge of this to nearest crossing point, should have read my map more carefully.-1min After that i orienteered better. | ||

| Sprint training with John, planned by GG.
Three parts - line course, standard course, head to head. Leg and foot felt fine, no pain, abit tight but ok. Was pretty clean through first two parts. In the Head to head i missed the first control, then me and john were running together but taking different routes, then he got away by 5s on the long leg and i stopped after that, and jogged to the finish. Still taking it easy | ||

| Short training with John and GG, about 10mins jog away from his flat.
Took it pretty steady, leg felt ok but a bit stiff after being prodded by physio earlier. | ||

| Managed to get seen by a Physio at the sports centre in Boson, where mr gristwood lives. Diagnosis was an overuse injury, probably just racing on the tight leg being the cause.
Abit annoying, but i reckon taking it easy for a couple of days, ice and stretching will be enough.Hopefully it will be better by Euromeeting though i reckon the 16k long might have to be missed.shame | ||

Feeling ok but towards the end of the jog was starting to get abit sore. No Long race for me. Got my map though and definetly something i'll run in June. | ||
