Mountain bike race (Cyclo X Race - Lichfield) 56:18 [5] 16.44 km (3:25 / km) +95m 3:20 / km
ahr:173 max:184

1st ever cyclo x race. Helped with the timing for the vets / ladies then raced. Holly supporting, even in charge of the last lap bell.
Got a good start, could beleive how rubbish some of the riders were technically. Got lapped twice by the first few, but also lapped some people twice as well, guess I ended up mid field somewhere. Really enjoyed the racing on the last few laps. Consistant lap times throughout shows I got the pace about right.
29th out of 47 - 17th onwards were lapped twice 1

Garnin ran out of juice....
Out to follow the dog, one lap hard - about 40 mins but a section was out next to marquis drive, 20 mins lunch and home.
Very noticable in bigger gears than last year on same sections.
Met Steve Hitchen at cafe and rode a while with him on way home.

Road ride (Mammoth Mon Night Ride) 1:32:19 [4] 44.51 km (2:04 / km) +260m 2:01 / km
ahr:145 max:181

First time out on the Trek - Raining - very nervous.
Rain eased up as we started, I ended up leading comfortably for the first 15 km with steve up front, seemed very easy. Just didnt get dropped at all, till the end, though I could have stayed in touch. Chap from Stone wheelers bonked and just couldnt get up to potal pool - plus his rear light failed. Poodled up behind him to keep things safe, then got some fluid down him sorted out his light, then towed hi m back to Brocton.
With a slow patch in the middle when Steves light failed, I rekon I could have done a 1.29 at least - well chuffed.....
