Mountain bike race (Dark and White 4hr Enduro) 4:15:00 [4] 82.0 km (3:07 / km) +900m 2:57 / km

Was unsure whether to do it as had to get up at 6 to drive accrross from N Wales.
OK course, not at technical as NPS, more fire road and swoopy singletracks. Started OK and settled into 5th place. Went well until lap 5 where I cramped horribly. I just didnt drink enough up until that point. Got the liquid down me and eventually it eased but I lost alot of time and 1 place. drunk as much as I could until I felt sick, had an extra cup at the end of the lap and fought off the cramp all the way round last lap taking it really easy on the hills. Got caught on last hill but just couldnt get any power into legs as they just cramped straight away. Attacked the decent to the finish and pulled him back in but he pipped me by 20 secs.
3rd M21, 5th overall

ride from Gwenaffield up over Halkin mountain and back in grogour weather on singlespeed. Felt quite strong, Knee fine

Mild cold came on last night to top knee as it was just getting better - hmpphhhhh...... Lots of sleep tonight - back on the bike on Friday and Saturday if cold OK. Dont want to start training season with a niggly injury so giving it a proper rest. Still hope to race on Sunday
