Orienteering 2:02:17 [4] ***** 10.89 km (11:14 / km) +327m 9:46 / km
spiked:8/15c

Long RedX. Screwed up the last two controls to put me over two hours, stuffed up some others as well.

The course was 8.4km. Ambit screwed up some trail running track to #7.

Also, beautiful terrain and great course.

#2 being careful
#3 slowed down before control, unnecessarily
#4 did not see the clearing before the control on the map, did not understand that the control was on a knoll
#5 okay
#6 almost a disaster, but recovered seeing the steep bank of the creek
#7 easy from the trail
#8 okay
#9 stopped to think and read the cluesheet, saw the boulder after that
#10 okay
#11 did not notice the higher, smaller trail on the map, went on the lower bigger one, then saw the smaller one of course
#12 good run on the trails but a bobble just before the control
#13 okay, saw Aidan there
#14 good, went through the SW clearing
#15 went around, had a good plan, but again just before the control got confused by the elongated knoll, spent at least half-minute there staring at the map, maybe more.
#16 okay, had some company
#17 checked out another control NE of mine, so call it a small wobble.
#18 okay, again caught up with that guy. Fell down, had a cramp for a few seconds.
#19 should have gone to the trail right away but instead bashed through the woods to the clearing.
#20-22 okay
