Pickup at Thornell Park, full field 9v9 w/small goals. Breaking in a new ref this week. Heel feels OK, still a bit sore.

Webster Park Advanced Course (Random-O, I guess) Distance is rough estimate.

Skipped #28. Probably should have skipped #15 in hindsight, took a lot of time to get to the control.

Started 9-4-1-3-2 went to 8, bactracked to 7-11-10-6-5, down the road to 12-19, took path over to 20, but didn't hit it cleanly - wrong spur. Cut through the green to 24 then 27-29 and headed N to 25 - skipping 28 - then 21-22 up to 16 back to 17 down to 23 then cut through the green again to 26 and lost a few minutes finding the right feature - headed N to 18, missed the path and ended up cutting through too much swamp - cost a few minutes there. Finally located a path and ended up near the trail junction near 18 - then shot up the path to 13 - 14, had to swing over to 15 and back to the finish.

Just kept having this vision of getting back to the start and realizing I'd forgotten to punch a control - maybe being a little too careful on the navigation.

Nice course w/ some neat flag placements. This is really a good way to set an advanced course at Webster, and impressive turnout as well.

Played w/ over 35 group 7v7 full field 'til 9, then got suckered into playing with the open group until 10:20 since they were short a few players. Fast surface, lot of running, active ball

Couldn't get into a rhythm until I got into Bloomfield.
