Biking 1:32 [2] 15.2 mi (6 / mi)
weight:12.1lbs

Slow and plesant cycle after a boozy lunch round Sarah's place. Haven't biked in ages as I've given most of my training time over to running. Forgotten how easy I find cycling compared to running.

Running 35 [3] 2.9 mi (12 / mi)

Terrible run! In complete contrast to yesterday where I ran really well, today my muscles just wouldn't go. There just seemed to be no energy there, and running seemed to cause my calf muscles pain. I think I've gone too far too quickly and need to rest a couple of days from running before doing any more. I haven't stretched properly at all which doesn't help, but I don't feel that is the cause of my bad run today, more just the fact of overexercising. Oh well, a bit of rest and I'll be fine for the long run on Tuesday. This run was supposed to make up for wednesday when, according my training schedule,I was supposed to be running but took the day off. (sorry Tim!) I'll do the Monday bike ride on Sunday, so I can have a brief rest before doing the big run on Tuesday.

Running 35 [2] 3.31 mi (11 / mi)
weight:13lbs

Went for a trot with the dog which started and finsihed well. One of the best runs I've had in a long time - it just seemed to flow, and the run felt easy even though I was running at the pace I used to run at before taking running more seriously. This has been the first time I feel I'm noticably fitter. I planned to go a short distance, but as I was running so well I extended the run slightly to 3.31 miles (verified with livemaps). The only problem was the dog couldn't keep up!

Running 1:40 [4] 10.5 mi (10 / mi)
weight:13lbs

Ran to, at and back from New Forest Runners with Dr. Fridd. Started quite stiff from the previously running on the Sunday, but after about 2 miles the stiffness went and was able to quicken the pace. Was feeling good went got to runners, but Susan had quickened the pace dramatically nearing Wilverly as we were late. Had a 3 minute rest before running again, and restarted at a cracking pace! This continued and didn't relent until we finished 5.2 miles later when I was completely exhausted. Susan is still a more competent runner, and pushes the pace hard. Throughout the run I was fairly light headed and struggled to breathe, but ran well and fast. The run back from runners was at a much slower pace, but still found it hard as my muscles had stffened up badly from a 10 minute break whilst chatting to the other runners. However, we didn't stop at (we had to stop and walk last week) and when got back felt completely drained. I gave this a 4 in intensity beacuse I found it so hard.
