Mountain Bike 1:30:00 [3] 14 km (6:26 / km) +1200m 4:30 / km
shoes: Trabuco
Went up the craigeburn ski field road and then took the single track back though the helicopter hill saddle and back down to the car park. Great ride. a little hairy at times when riding across some of the scree slopes. Some of the down hill bits would have been more fun if i was on a fully suspended bike. I wish i could afford to get a new mountain bike and a road bike. as it is im going to strugle to afford either.

OY at Dalethorpe. did the short red, i think i won in the end but couldnt really care. the big story is that my shins survived running about 3/4 of the way arround and even pushing the pace a bit on a couple of splits. if it wasnt for the re entrant crossing right after the last control, i think my finish split would have been at least closer to tanes. But i was glad i took it easy when the shins were fealing the slightest bit tender.

Orienteering 30:00 [1]
control collecting. i also had a quick go at trying to sort out what was going on in the dodgy part of the map. i went through the area first to see if it was alright and it wasnt to bad, but needed some tweeking. it was when i went to a cliff on the main part of the map and walked a compass bearing to the edge of the map, i came out on a very different point to where the map told me i should. after i found out how far out that was i said stuff that and went back to the start with the controls i picked up from that spot.
