Out in the snow. Had the wrong shoes on for this one, brought my old runners out of retirement - should have left them where they were and used my spiked ones. But as they say a bad workman blames his tools and all that. Made one mistake in the woods, but soon realised and got back on track. Good race, just sneaked into the B final.

Flat out blast around the campus. Didn't make any mistakes but had a couple of hesitations and possibly not the best route choice on the long leg. Another good race. 22nd I think.

Cold. That is I have come down with a cold and the weather was cold. Started off well as I could see people in front of me punching the first control from before I had started. Had a relatively good run, but still made a few mistakes, just didn't have the speed. Good little run out.

From seven springs, up to deer lawns, bit of streching there, then along the valley side towards the trig on sherbrook, loop back and across sherbrook onto Brocton coppice up and down a few hills there, down to stepping stones and back. Great evening for it.

First 'tuesday night training' of the year on the chase. Told claire I wouldn't be out too long so decided to push it quite hard. Quality rather than length - I've heard people say this before, but never believed it! Also decided not to use the paths - they're for wimps - except where it is up hill or a bit brambly or a bit rough under foot!
Also decided to give it extra on the hills to see if I can improve my dismal hill running skills. We'll see (probably can't get worse though).
Great evening to be out and put me in an overly chirpy mood.
