Saturday Dec 1

Orienteering (Map hike) 50:00 [2]
50 minute map hike at Laumeier, about half and half memory-0 and genuine map hike.

Friday Nov 30

Running 29:00 [3]
Tai Chi 20:00 [1]
5 minutes of sun salutations, 15 minutes of silk reeling exercises
Walk warm up/down 13:00 [1]
5 minute warm up, 8 minute cool down
Armchair Orienteering 15:00 [0]
Spending some time working on knowing the control descriptions.

Thursday Nov 29

Tai Chi 20:00 [1]
5 minutes of yoga stretching and 15 minutes of tai chi in the morning.
Walk 25:00 [1]
Took a different route this morning from the parking garage. From Forest Park Pway/Big Bend, south on Big Bend, east on Forsyth, north on Skinker and up Brookings Drive. Turned my 10 minute walk into a 25 minute walk.
Armchair Orienteering 15:00 [0]
More practice selecting distinguishing features in the landscape, selecting likely routes as legs between them, and (with eyes closed) visualizing those routes from leg to leg.

Wednesday Nov 28

Walk 10:00 [1]
5 minute warm up, 5 minute cool down
Running tempo 26:00 [3]
26 minute tempo run in dusk-to-dark, taking the run off the gravel trails of Forest Park onto the grass at least to simulate real trail conditions. Felt good tonight, though still shaking off the lingering cold I came down with after I spent myself on the Turkey-O.

Tuesday Nov 27

Walk 40:00 [1]
(sick) (rest day)
20 minute walk at lunch, 10 minute to work, 10 minute to car
Tai Chi 20:00 [1]
20 minutes of yoga stretching and tai chi this morning.
Armchair Orienteering 15:00 [0]
Looking over the Babler map again, practicing quick-reads with a glance at the map for a route through three legs, putting it away, and visualizing the route leg by leg in my head.

Monday Nov 26

Armchair Orienteering 15:00 [0]
(sick) (rest day)
15 minutes of practice gauging distance and visualizing terrain with Rock Creek State Park map. I also practiced quickly guestimating whether a direct route with climb would be "longer" than an indirect route without climb (with rule of thumb that 15 meters of climb equals 100 meters of flat distance).
Power Yoga 10:00 [2]
Tai Chi 20:00 [1]
