O Meet at Forest Park

Green route at Forest Park O-meet. Straightforward routes with some longer legs and a couple choices to be made along the way. Since it was so straightfoward, I could work on getting a control while planning for the next one, which led to quick movement through controls. For the most part I kept a consistent pace, though had to slow down for very short but steep hills (i.e., going from ponds up to bridge over FPPway). Wished I had it in me to sprint, or run faster, for some of the longer legs. Only two moments of confusion. Screwed up with control 12, approaching it wrong twice (first coming down the right side of the stream before the bridge, then coming to the control from across the stream and having to cross it at a slippery place). Think 13 was placed in the wrong place, but I found it easily enough.

read map of trails for West Tyson while running. Keeping track of these sessions just to see how much I do over time. Don't do much now, but hoping that tracking it will inspire me to do more. In the meantime looking forward to a chance to actually do an o-meet next weekend
