| NY Annual Triathlon. Harriman, Sebago beach. My first swim longer 50m in the last 30 years. Started too fast, lost breath at the very beginning and coldn't gain it back almost until the finish. Bike route: start/finish @ Sebago beach, Lake Welch Dr, Tiorati Brook Rd., 7 Lakes Dr. Run: start/finish @ Sebago beach and a loop on 7 Lakes Dr.
Splits: swim (.5mi, 18:20), bike (16mi, 47:10), run (3mi, 19:40).
Not too bad for my first triathlon...
5 guys called me "animal" while I was passing on my single speed bike their litespeeds and full carbon bikes going uphill. Few more called me the same name in the transition area. It appear, this bike route is one of the toughest in triatlon races. |

| HVO local meet at Clear Lake Reservation, red course. "Dead body" (including brains) run since I's pretty tired after the triatlhon race. 10+min error on the second control because of a poor mapping around the control circle. |
