Friday May 30

running 25:00 [3] 5.7 km (4:23 / km)
shoes: Nike air trail pegasus+
run along the beach
felt awful
could be to do with the large lunch i had earlier.
probably becaause i have eased off training after races.
that will change though.
next week i start six year and will have loads of free periods where i can do runs and stuff

Tuesday May 27

running intervals (fartlek) 20:00 [4] 4 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike air trail pegasus+
ayr seaforth
4k track set 10x 400m continous.
one at 3k race pace, the other 12 secs slower.
coach made me and jon do a steeple chase barrier every laps also, he seems determined that this is my event!

Sunday May 25

orienteering race 33:30 [5] *** 4.4 km (7:37 / km)
shoes: Inov8 mudclaw 2
scottish relays
if anything, a worse run than yesterday. didn't realise that a guy, (from the team that eventually beat us) set off six seconds behind me. If i had known this i might have done slightly better. Still, my run was full of mistakes again and i was even more tired. If it wasn't for me doing so crap our team would have won.

Saturday May 24

Event: Scottish Championships

orienteering race 59:22 [5] **** 6 km (9:54 / km) +300m 7:55 / km
shoes: VJ Falcons
pretty bad run
far too tired from school and stuff and so made loads of mistakes from the very start. number one was probably the worst where i lost control of where i was, but after that i made mistake after mistake
sooo stupid!!

Tuesday May 20

running intervals 30:00 [4] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

running 1:00:00 [3] 3 km (20:00 / km)
warming up and stuff

also practicing for a steeple chase race
this was fun
but then i realised that i was in the under 20 men catagory for the race that we were practicing for. hopefully there is an orienteering race that might clash with it!

Sunday May 18

running long 56:00 [3] 11.5 km (4:52 / km)
shoes: Nike air trail pegasus+
the longer loop around culzean
windy
could see boats coming in from the 3 Peaks Race

a pretty hard core race, equivalent of 2/3 marathons and overnight constant sailing

Saturday May 17

running long 1:01:00 [3] 7.6 mi (8:01 / mi)
shoes: Nike air trail pegasus+
longer run with dad

Sunday May 11

Event: SOL 2

orienteering race 56:24 [5] **** 6.9 km (8:10 / km) +195m 7:10 / km
spiked:13/20c shoes: VJ Falcons
sol 2 at touch
was having a really good run across the moor with no mistakes until number 11 and then more followed especially at number 15.
i think i was trying to maintain my speed that i had across the easy moor through the hard bit at the end.
at one stage i lost my dibber(after number 11 it flicked off a tree) luckily i found it after about 45 seconds of hunting

Saturday May 10

Note
(rest day)
couldn't manage the scottish sprint champs because dad had to organize a sailing thing
suppose i should get some school work done

great sailing, not much wind but really sunny, no rain
there was a little sea breeze at the end which made it good

Thursday May 8

running intervals 30:00 [3] 2.5 km (12:00 / km)
shoes: Nike air trail pegasus+
Ayr Seaforth
intervals 8x200m
feeling very tired and stiff as a board, rubbish times 33-35

Wednesday May 7

Troon Tortoises 10K road race
a proper 10k this time

went off too fast gradually got picked off
very hot evening
in the first 3k i beat my 3k time trial at halden

perhaps could have got 36mins (target) but that was a bit ambitious
