Friday Nov 30

orienteering race 52:00 [5] 6.7 km (7:46 / km)
seemed to take a lot longer than i expected even though running fast. It was very hot though and i had already been wondering round trying to find the start for at least an hour after coming from the station...honestly an orienteer getting lost before they even reached the start??!!

Thursday Nov 29

cycle 25:00 [3] 9 km (2:47 / km)
cycle to belair: 20:46
home: 14:14
Running 48:10 [4] 8.5 km (5:40 / km)
Everyone else piked on Thursday night so it was just simon and i. Went along goldmine track, up incredably steep stpes to railway line, up some more and then down through echo tunnel back to the golf course. Hot day and a little tired after being at the beach all day but felt really good selcond half and the down hills...up hill was a different matter!

up turners ave>rankleys>Hawthorndene drive> random side streets>upper sturt>sheok>coromandel parade>home

Monday Nov 26

Swimming recovery 54:40 [3] 2.2 km (24:51 / km)
cycle (TRAVELLING) 1:45:00 [2]
Wow! What a day! began cycling down Shepherd's Hill Road, then along South Road to get police check for Swimming teaching job, then used the same backstreets as i did on my long run the other week and ended (somehow) on Goodwood Road. Followed this until i got to the pool where i planned to go swimming early. Didn't quite go to plan as there was a swimming carnival on so road into the city to drop off written stuff for another job (working at Rebel Sports) and back to the pool for a swim. This was fantastic to cool off from the 30degree day!
Finally went to drop in with Suzanne (she is in hibernation due to thesis) and ended up missing the last frequent train so sat at station for an hour until the next one. Then tried to balance my bike (without stand) on the train so it didn't take out elderly passengers nearby. Home eventually ...at 9:00pm!
Sleep in tomorrow and no more riding...backside sore!

nb time approximate and very easy riding (not very fast!!!!!)

Sunday Nov 25

Running 1:40:00 [3] 19 km (5:16 / km)
kypto terrain run with Jenny, Tristan, Simon and Greg
...see simon's log for details!

Saturday Nov 24

tennis (game) 1:20:00 [2]
weekly tennis...haven't been putting this in as it isn't really related to orienteering training but thought i may as well...

Thursday Nov 22

Running (getting lost~) 1:51:00 [2] 18.8 km (5:54 / km)
Ran down shepherd's hill then went along fiveash drive and somehow ended up at torren's park station. Couldn't find Randel's so caught the train to eden hills and ran home...probably wasn't really looking too hard to find it!

Wednesday Nov 21

Running 55:00 [3] 13 km (4:14 / km)
Decided to make the most of the cooler weather and went for a slowish run on some of the Rogaine map. This included my running to my favourite place in SA at the end of Craigburn Rd : )

Tuesday Nov 20

Running (Morialta run) 47:00 [3] 8 km (5:52 / km)
slept:9.0
Arrived at Morialta after a day shopping with Laura so feet were pretty sore but surprisingly feklt really good !
Did the Morialta Loop with the usual 'gang' and managed to persuade Laura to come out which was an added bonus.
Was a bit faster on the first hill than last week and the section afterwards seemed a lot easier. Managed to almost keep up with Tom (Dose) on the last section which was great...amazing how much better you can train after finishing year 12 exams!!!

Monday Nov 19

Swimming recovery 58:00 [3]
Did 38 laps in Unley pool as it was really hot so a good day for a swim. 36 laps freestyle and 2 breakstroke at a constant speed...perhaps i should break it in to intervals next time!
Note
Finally finished exams so I'll have time to log trainings again...yes i have still been training...yet feeling drained from study!

Sunday Nov 18

Rogaine 3:00:00 [3] 28 km (6:26 / km)
Did the three hour minigaine with Vanessa (see her log) starting from Belair Scout camp. Was great to have loads of local knowledge...even passing past my house!
Ran for majority of the way and pulled out a fast sprint to the finish at the end. All in all a fantastic day, finishing first open women, junior and 9th/72 overall.
