picked up bike from Jenny's at last and rode into the City to interval training with Suz, Simon and Vanessa. Had no idea how to get there but ended up following a bus route...was a little cautious estecially when i got to a sign saying Port Adelaide exit! All in all it was good to finally retrieve my bike and end the procrastination in picking it up...something i'm very good at!

Running hills 6:30 [5]
13 x 30sec on sloping part of Montefore Hill
2 x 2.30mins up entire hill (approx 400m)...well both the distance and time here are pretty much guessed but i shall find out specifics from Suzanne!

Monday Aug 27

Running (recovery) 55:00 [3]
went past coro deli, up and along some backstreets until i met up with acklands hill road. Ran down to frank smith park and roudnthe back of blackwood forest. From there on it was pretty much guess work up and around some streets along the tops of the hills. Heaps of quaint farms and orchards...nice! Also found a fire trakc i shall have to investigate!

Saturday Aug 25

Rogaine 8:00:00 [2]
Went on the 8 hr Rogaine with Zara. Had a pretty good time although the hills were challenging at times! I had a light load which made things easier (Zara offered to be chief carrier) and navigating went fairly well. Slightly overestimated distances and ended up with about 10km left with only 90mins to go. Ran hard along a fairly indistinct part of the Hysen Trail and was glad to see the lights of the hash house with 9 mins to spare! Ended up with 1090 points which put us in 1st open women and 2nd overall.

Tuesday Aug 21

Running (N/Adelaide) 54:00 [3]
Run with Arrows and Schools' Team along Linear Park trail in dark. Went over suspension bridge...was still moving up and down for a while afterwards. Felt quite quick and only one stop near Klemzig.
Running (Corporate Cup Fun Run) 21:00 [4] 5 km (4:12 / km)
Good to see so many blackwood high people out today! Still going really slowly but all that matters is points for improvement. Want to get down to 20 flat next week!

Sunday Aug 19

orienteering race (Club Relays) 59:00 [4] **** 6.6 km (8:56 / km)
spiked:20/34c slept:8.0 shoes: Adidas
Club relays involved 2 legs for each person of 3.3km. Was competing in W20 with Laura and ended up victorious. Legs were sore after long run on Saturday and abundance of stairs did not help much (there were four flights to go up on the spectator leg control alone!).The array of buildings and corridors led to lots of variation in route choice. Made up 5 mins on other second runners on both legs which was good.

Saturday Aug 18

Running (long run- quite slow) 1:39:00 [3] 16 km (6:11 / km) +350m 5:35 / km
shoes: Adidas
Went on long run from Suzanne and Tyson's into Belair National Park and back. First part was really steep but the way back was downhill. Legs felt good on the return (even felt as though I could have gone further). Found a nice mudslide near Pony Ridge road and Vanessa decided to give it a try!

A short recovery through Frnak Smith Park and Blackwood Forest as long run tomorrow. Sun was nice as it set over hills and good views over Coro Valley.

Warm up from uni to loop through Botanical Gardens with Simon, Vanessa and Suzanne. Found some great paths to run along as disintegrating leaves...

Tuesday Aug 14

Run along Linear Park trail in the dark.....great fun until i hit the suspension bridge as i wasn't quite sure when the swaying would stop!
