Tuesday Jan 29

Running (Morialta run) 50:00 [3]
Felt really good and fast!!!!! kept the speed up the whole time and was more motivated by taking shorter breaks and not starting last.
SHALL ADD SPLITS HERE LATER!

Friday Jan 25

orienteering (summer series) 45:34 [3] 6 km (7:36 / km)
really sick as spent the day in 35 degree door knocking without a hat...definately not smart!

Thursday Jan 24

Running 25:00 [3]
short jog to loosen up the legs

Wednesday Jan 23

cycle 1:11:00 [3]
nice ride in belair looking for time trial locations

Tuesday Jan 22

Running (Morialta run) 48:00 [3]
SLOW SLOW SLOW!!!! realy hot and tired!

Monday Jan 21

Running (recovery) 52:00 [3]
recovery jog through Belair. A nice run and I even managed to find a track I've never run on before.
nb. do not attempt to run through golf course whilst golfers playing...golf balls are very hard!
Swimming recovery 25:00 [3] 1 km (25:00 / km)
Got on the wrong train from work so ended up being half an hour late to swimming. Just did a quick 20 laps but seemed to get into the rhythmn better. Susanne and i then waited for the next train eating pumpkin seeds and kinder surprise...

Sunday Jan 20

Running long 1:35:00 [3]
ran to Belair from Laura's and then met up with Gary's running group unexpectantly. nice to run with a group but runners are a little softer than orienteers as they took the long gully route to avoid hills! (not that i was complaining!)

Friday Jan 18

orienteering race (SUMMER SERIES) 50:00 [3] 6.4 km (7:49 / km)
This was interesting as i had helped Laura set the course so knew where all the controls were (*not that it really matters in summer series!)
Had to start at quarter past five due to a friends farewell so time wasn;t recorded
Swimming recovery 34:00 [3]

Wednesday Jan 16

Running (recovery) 34:00 [3] 6 km (5:40 / km)

Tuesday Jan 15

Running (morialta) 55:00 [3]
usual loop but really sluggish due to five days of running in a row...never again~
cycle 40:00 [3]
cycle to beach for VAC SWIM teaching..early but nice

Monday Jan 14

Running long 1:30:00 [3] 15 km (6:00 / km)
run in belair...felt really good still. Up Queen Jubilee then down main track and up Upper Sturt past BP then through Blackwood

Sunday Jan 13

orienteering 1:00:00 [3]
really good session set my Simon...see his log for details as too lazy to record!

Friday Jan 11

Running (Summer series) 42:00 [4] 7.4 km (5:41 / km)
Ended up in third place overall which was a surprise considering it didn't feel that fast. Good course setting...although the "Lakes of Mawson" provided some lengthy detours on course.
nb. first run ever in SKINS!
C • Skins 1
Running 52:00 [3] 9.8 km (5:18 / km)
Ran down to Westminster school from Blackwood to meet Laura for course setting

Thursday Jan 10

Swimming recovery 29:00 [1] 1 km (29:00 / km)
Tired after teaching VAC SWIM all week so decided to go for a quick swim to escape the 40 degree heat

Wednesday Jan 9

Running 50:00 [3]
Early morning run...nice and cool at 6am!

Tuesday Jan 8

Running tempo (Morialta) 50:00 [4] 9 km (5:33 / km) +300m 4:46 / km
(injured)
Leg felt tight up first hills but pushed hard after that. Was flying after second hill and felt really good at the end.

Monday Jan 7

Note
(injured)
Rest day after camp and five days...really want to get rid of leg injury!

Sunday Jan 6

orienteering (Belangalo) 1:20:00 [3] 7.6 km (10:32 / km)
(injured)
Had to walk a lot of this due to injury but felt like i could have kept going. The distance was not a challenge as we have been doing a lot of long stuff lately but it was frustrating with my leg not being able to go at a decent speed!!
Got lost on number 2 and 12 but otherwise navigation was a lot more confident and sound. Just pitty i coudn't run it as i would have loved to!
n.b. distance is as the crow flies so pretty inaccurate

Friday Jan 4

orienteering (sprint- Maquarie uni) 17:00 [5]
(injured)
Finished just behind Rachel and Krystal. Leg was slightly better running on roads as opposed to terrain. Really enjoy sprints!
(shall have to look up exact time and distance as can't remember!!!)
orienteering 17:23 [3] 2.8 km (6:13 / km)
(injured)
relay exercise

Thursday Jan 3

orienteering (Bob's Farm) 1:05:00 [3]
(injured)
navigation exercise with partner...just walking. It was very technical but enjoyable and i learnt a lot about reading subtle contours in sand dunes.

Wednesday Jan 2

time trial (3km) 16:00 [5]
(injured)
this was terrible as limping a lot. About 3-4mins slower than pb!
illinois agility test 18 [3]
(injured)
beep test 10:00 [5]
(injured)
got to 8.6 but couldn't keep going because the turning really hurt my leg. wasn't really puffed at all which isn't surprising as have got up to 12.1 before

Tuesday Jan 1

Note
(rest day)
