Note

Slept with my HR monitor on just for fun. New resting rate, changed a few of my values by one or two points, nothing major. Interesting:

1 PM

Running long 1:22:15 intensity: (1:13:22 @1) + (8:31 @2) + (22 @3) 8.01 mi (10:16 / mi) +751ft 9:26 / mi
ahr:134 max:153 weight:158.8lbs shoes: Adidas adiZero XT

Long Crum + the 0.4mi of additional "yellow blaze" trail, to see where it ended.

Leaves made it hard to see roots and rocks, and I tripped and fell pretty hard. Partially due to tired legs and shuffling feet.

Lovely day! Good to get out. Biggest training mileage week ever I think.

Running (Pace) 51:01 intensity: (34:41 @1) + (12:40 @2) + (2:41 @3) + (59 @4) 5.81 mi (8:47 / mi) +591ft 8:01 / mi
ahr:142 max:166 weight:162lbs shoes: Adidas adiZero XT

The Signa Creme worked perfectly! Huzzah!

Cool and cloudy in the woods, felt a bit sluggish, running the long pace. Good stuff!

Running 4:20 [1] 0.5 mi (8:40 / mi)
shoes: Adidas adiZero Hagio 2

Trying to compare Garmin FR 305 and iPhone per the discussion going on on AP. Still can't get the app to upload data to RunKeeper. :) More as I get it ... it comes down to a few things for me:

1. must be fairly accurate
2. must be 'strap and go' ... no real fiddling needed
3. must be moderately waterproof (able to be in the rain)
4. can download/upload data

That's about it!

My gut says the iPhone really isn't there yet, but I thought I would test it out.
1 PM

Running 4:58 [1] 0.53 mi (9:19 / mi)
shoes: Adidas adiZero Hagio 2

Running 8:10 [1] 1.02 mi (7:59 / mi) +3ft 7:57 / mi

Note

Electrode cream ordered! Fingers crossed.
12 PM

Running hills (6 x Cemetery) 32:15 intensity: (20:48 @1) + (2:21 @2) + (2:05 @3) + (3:05 @4) + (3:56 @5) 3.66 mi (8:49 / mi) +308ft 8:10 / mi
ahr:143 max:191 weight:161.2lbs shoes: Adidas adiZero Hagio 2

Let Interval Wednesdays commence. I thought 6 would be too many, but it turned out to be just right.

Must get a new HR strap or new Garmin entirely. Or simply some electrode cream/gel. This is driving me nuts.

Running 1:16:42 intensity: (1:09:51 @1) + (1:35 @2) + (16 @3) + (1:56 @4) + (3:04 @5) 9.29 mi (8:15 / mi) +282ft 8:02 / mi
ahr:139 max:246 weight:157.2lbs shoes: Adidas adiZero Hagio 2

Should have gone over the river at Girard St Bridge, didn't mean to go more than 7.5. Good new route though (well, not really new, just consciously routed instead of a normal wander) over the Strawberry Mansion Bridge. Weird little stairs down through the woods just north (east side) of the bridge.

Might try the Columbia RR Bridge some time for the 7.5ish loop ... sshhh. ;)

Felt perky through about 4.5, when my hips slowly started aching. Increased ache throughout the run. Need to test a stop-and-stretch. Will keep track of where this occurs. Last remnants of pain from 50k I think, but I'm pretty much recovered.

Another HR monitor fail. Look at my Max HR!! While humorous, it's also annoying and messing up my HR-based training plan.
