Running long 2:15:00 [2] 13.5 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics Piranha SP 3

Hooray, while my muscles were tired, no twinges of 'overdoing' things today.

No, I didn't HTFU and do this outside (I'm not that crazy, like some others around here :)) ... I did a bazillion laps at the Healthplex indoor track. Perfect temp in there, like 55F or so. Very nice for an indoor track.

Great job, hughmac3!

Biking (Recumbent Stationary Gym) 20:00 [1] 3.33 mi (6:00 / mi) +300ft 5:32 / mi
ahr:89 max:94

Tried a bit of bike to warm up before a treadmill jog.

Running (Treadmill #2 Hills) 25:01 intensity: (20:45 @1) + (39 @2) + (32 @3) + (3:05 @4) 2.2 mi (11:22 / mi)
ahr:122 max:166 weight:159.8lbs shoes: Adidas adiZero Hagio 2

Another light jog on the treadmill, planned 45 minutes, started to get hammy twinge at 25 minutes so quit. I think I'm still recovering from 'running through' too much on Wednesday.

Running warm up/down (Dreadmill) 33:00 [1] 3.12 mi (10:35 / mi) +75ft 10:20 / mi
weight:157.8lbs shoes: Adidas adiZero Hagio 2

Planned on a gentle 60 minutes in the nice warm gym, but after 30 minutes developed a fairly strong cramp in my right biceps femoris (who knew?), that's still twinging after a good lunch, light massage and stretching and an hour of inactivity. We'll see how this plays out. Sure glad I didn't get something like that during Saturday's race!

Yoga (Sleeping HR Test) 1 [0] 0.0 mi
ahr:58 max:82

Just taking a look at sleep HR. Pretty poor contact, apparently.

Note

Pretty beat up still from the Icy-8, but don't think there's anything permanent. Right hip still pretty achy ... going to try some vitamin I.

Here are the preliminary results files:

Mens
Womens

Official results up Wednesday, most likely.

I wish I had known that I could have moved from 6th to 4th (one guy, first place gal!) if I'd done the 2 x short loops (9.9mi) instead of the 1 x long loop (8.13mi) at the end. I had just over 100 minutes after 8x short loops, and so only needed to do 10:12s to get it done (and even seriously dawdling I did 10:49s for the 8.1), and needed no pit stop between the two laps for gear, etc. The lesson learned: do leave it out on the course, because you'll regret it (at least a bit) if you didn't. But 20-20 hindsight and all that stuff ... and I did run the total actual miles (47+) that was my "I really doubt I can, but maybe I'll try" goal, so ... man, these loop races are mentally tough!

Wow, look at laps 2 & 3! Actual RunTimes/Paces (Lap Time - Pit Time) were IDENTICAL!

The RunTime column really makes me realize how steady I was, and how doable the 10 was, and how deleterious the 3 extra 'pit' minutes (8:28 total) to fiddle with my socks was. In the future, I need to keep the pit times as separate splits. Need more crew!! :)
