Monday Dec 29

Running 45:00 [3]
ahr:164 max:180
Such a beautiful day out - I had to leave work early and go for a run. Did the Hospital loop, running through Walker in the setting sun and snowy warm weather. ahhh....

Sunday Dec 28

Skate Skiing 2:00:00 [3] 20 km (6:00 / km)
Went to northern VT for a race (I didn't race, Tora and Greta did) and skied around the course. This was my first time on skis in a long itme and it sure felt like it, I thought I was going to fall flat on my face! (A little off-balance I'd say)
Hiking 10:00 [2]
Short hike up to the race course....it's tough walking in snow in ski boots!

Saturday Dec 27

Hiking 1:00:00 [2]
Short hike to Square Ledge in Pinkham Notch with Mom and Dad. We were planning on going up the Wildcat Ridge trail and then bushwacking over to some nice ledges, but we couldn't cross the river due to high water and icy rocks. Square Ledge was nice, though, even though we didn't have snowshoes and were postholing the whole way!! But we got our bushwacking in, we went off-trail on teh way down and followed some coyote tracks.

Sunday Dec 21

Running 50:00 [3]
ahr:158 max:178
An easy run around Concord, and my heart rates show just how out of shape I am! Yikes. But it felt soooo good to just get outside even if it wasn't sunny. Office work sucks. Can i go back to school?

Sunday Dec 7

Alpine skiing 3:00:00 [2]
Headed up mid morning Sunday to Killington in a blizzard with Ross and his little brother. Skied for about 3 hours and by the end was completely exhausted. Killington hadn't groomed anything and my borrowed skis were too long for all the massive bumps that had formed or the thigh deep powder. But it was good to get out there and see, ya know? I can tell you I'm not in good enough shape for it (the next day I could hardly move)
