Run/hike up Kearsarge. Finally some beautiful weather so I had to get out and appreciate the sun. I was on the lookout for deer for Kristoffer, but I think my snow-crunching footsteps scared them all away. Saw thousands of tracks though! And up near the top of the mountain I found myself following along next to bear tracks! Didn't get to see the actual animal though. Cold and windy at the top, rime ice everywhere, but beautiful views all teh way up to the Whites.

Soccer 35:00 [4]
We beat the champion team!!! Score I think was 8-6. I felt like crap the first half but got into it in the second half. These 9pm games are rough though, I didn't sleep well, being all hyped up from the game.

We tied for second and won the series!
Lovely weather.... :o(
Surprisingly didn't feel too bad, physically, and the paddle was fun (not much of a paddle, more of a long portage upstream.)

I even had a shot on goal!! But they're goalie was a champion so I ddin't make it. But I'm improving greatly since I started, I think..

Second game, we lost, got our asses kicked actually. The other team has been playing for several years indoor and they know how to play off the boards. Someday we'll be that good.

Kristoffer and I ran around the lake once. Body felt fine, but the lungs were hurting and my breathing was certainly strained. I have to get back into this training thing, but it's proving difficult these days.

Kristoffer and I started, last night (Wednesday), in an indoor soccer league with a team out of the CLaremont/Lebanon/VT area, playing in Grantham. I've never played soccer before but it should be good speed training and good in general for keeping my lungs in shape!
Hour long games, but with subs, I ran around for about 40 mins. Definitely good speed training, and I thought my lungs were going to burst at one point after several quick plays. No goals (not that I excpected any - especially playing mostly defense). But by the end of this season, I'll be wicked good! ;-)

Look guys! I did some training!!! Nothing real spectacular, but it was enough. Ran around the course to watch Kristoffer's and my mom's team at the Genesis 12-hr. Believe it or not, it was a lot of running! Especially on very little sleep and next to nothing to eat or drink all day. How silly.
