Orienteering 1:20:00 [2]** 14 km (5:43 / km)
ahr:162 max:185 spiked:28/34c shoes: VJ Integrator 2007
I had thought it was weird that I got a good night's sleep on Friday night, then last night I realised why. The moron of a flatmate who's cultural vomit I have to endure was in London on friday and returned on saturday wanting to play his turd all night louder than ever. whilst in bed I can hear every beat and the bass not only gives me a headache but it shakes my wall & bed. even when I spoke to him he didn't even try to look like he gave a toss. nobhead.

so, since my day had started so well, I decided to go to a NOC event. (don't do it, no matter what you've been told, just don't do it). It was a strange place, where runnable forest is mapped as clearings with prominant trees, piles of bracken are mapped as knolls and thickets with controls on aren't visible on the map.
I completely royaled both one and two, not being able to see a thing below knee height due to all the crap around and at this point I hated Orienteering. more than I hated orienteering before going to gothenburg in January. I wanted to quit. fortunately for me, to add to my cheery day, it didn't get any better. There was one brief spell of semi-lushness towards the end but soon after they released the hoards of brambles upon us.
lost about 8mins just on larg mistakes, nevermind how slow I was running due to a week of awesome training.

not enjoyable. i feel like northrop :(

just spent 15mins extracting a cm long thorn from my knee :(

Tuesday Feb 5

Running 23:00 [2]
ahr:130 max:143 shoes: Adidas Swoop II
home to hunters bar; fox house to Blacka Moor. and back
Orienteering 1:06:00 [2]*** 8 km (8:15 / km)
ahr:144 max:164 spiked:15/15c shoes: Adidas Swoop II
Used the EDS training part on Blacka as a base for the session, adding and changin it slightly.
trying to focus on taking good 'racing routes'
started with fluce both taking racing lines and meeting up at each control (except on the short complex bit), then after the complex stuff I pushed on and fluce cut short. was a good session, did map memory on the last leg which was 1.5km and nailed it.
Note
awesome, today is the first tuesday since coming back that my legs haven't hated me for doing dymanice lunges the previous day.
woohoo
C • you'll ahve to do them with... 2
Note
almost 2 hous of skanking/jumping/geting crushed on barrier at Dropkicks gig. absolutely knackered, but well worth it
C • mmm, sweaty 1

Monday Feb 4

Running 11:00 [2]
ahr:150 max:172 shoes: Adidas Swoop II
down to hunters bar and back
Orienteering 38:00 [3]*** 7 km (5:26 / km)
ahr:148 max:180 spiked:32/34c shoes: Adidas Swoop II
Fast Park-O in Endcliffe/Bingham. thought that the only way to make it hard really is to try running it at full speed. so i did, was a bit casual to start but turned on the style by the end. as I was on the last bit in Bingham heard a voice cheers from behind, so looked and saw candyman and wife, then lost concentration and fluffed the next, running 20m too low. missed a boulder in endcliffe towards the end too, about 10m too low.
all in all a nice session, and quality weather - didn't even need gloves today! wahoo!
C • Ha ha, yes saw you look aro... 1
Note
Physio Profiling
2 hours of stretching and learning new exercises. think it was pretty productive, so just got to try and remember how to control all the movements and i'll be away
