MTB race (Anancinda Stage 3) 3:03:00 [5]
Stage 3
03:03:00 ovr117 cat11 gen12
Point to point track.

What a day. I really hurt it on this one. bombed out close to the halfway point and never really was able to get it back from there.
Had a small plate of pasta last night, not eating much more than that. Woke up starving a couple of times during the night but just ignored it and tried sleep/get rest. FUCK bad move. I just died - Gu, food, water made no difference I had no energy or ping. Was mucking up on semi technical sections. Fucked up on that ridiculous section on the sink track that I don't even know why I always un-clip on and get stuck- it's a flat fucking trail with one small divit!!!!! Came off (quite funny) a couple of times on the hill of pain (my legs copped it-it'll show tomorrow). I kept up with nemisis ( we chatted his name is Gavin) for the first 4kms - saw him go ass up on a river crossing(actually forks down) that was quite amusing as the pacer and partner were rolling with us and fell right on top of Gav too. It was sweet. I kept with them for a bit then bang died. I was very disapointed and was kicking myself from then on as I could have kept with them, resultingly my morale was low by half way and

Monday May 19

MTB race (Stage 1) 2:34:20 [4]37 km (4:10 / km)
ahr:16
West Mac Ride, 4wd loop, flat sprint.

Placing 6th womens.
Kept up with Deanna, good ride, lost it a couple of times, came off with poor mistakes. I did pay for it, esp when taken up hill when came off on divit. Wasn't able to take back place - however last flat sprint 116 was paced approx 6kms. unable to catch. Did report it.
Felt good after race.
Beat Dan.
MTB race (Anaconda Stage 2) 1:37 [5]
00:01:37 overall148 cat15 gen18
Anzac Hill.
Good gears, good climb, no hassle really just plugged along. I'm not a sprinter
Had my own fan club! From the first pinch/turn of the hill till the top there was crew spaced all the way. It was funny all I could hear was my name, there was ACSS crew, then Stewie and Mandy, Steve from ED, quaters crew, Ngais and Ove, Tom at the top. I had to laugh..
And then I dogged in the pacer. Felt bad but shit happens... if only I knew
Nice day for it, bit of spectating after.

Thursday May 15

MTB (East side) 1:30:00 [3]
Tweets ride to keep up but... lost her from the start.
One last ride with the man. Did a loop of the sink track. Haven't done it this way since my first run with Ads, found the few drop offs etc. that took me by surprise first time to be a good laugh this time round.
Gonna miss the riding here.

Wednesday May 14

Walk (Mt Gillan) 2:00:00 [3]
A lovely walk of Mt Gillan with Tweets.
Good trekking, good conversation.

Monday May 12

Note
Taper time.

Sunday May 11

MTB (Golf Course / Eagle Court) 1:05:09 [4]20.61 km (3:10 / km)
ahr:18
Had too much energy after the race so went for another pedal.
Did the Eagle court / golf course - with the last bit of single trail added on. More for nostalgia more than anything else... I'll be leaving next week :(
I love this track too nice and flowy, can get a good rhythm, and I've done it so much it's second nature. I'm gonna miss Alice.
Ave 19.2, but warm down slowed it down.
MTB race (Alice MTB #4) 1:20:01 [4]21 km (3:49 / km)
Alice Springs MTB #4
B class, 3rd place.
25.43, 26.15, 26.27.
not a big turnout as Yulara run was on Saturday.

Bad race, chose bad lines, kept up with the boys(whom I beat on the Point to point, made a few mistakes and lost them. Didn't catch up to them again, I think they ended up a two minutes in front.
Couldn't get a rythm. ?it was just a shit track. Hill of pain -crap, strange connecting lines, masters track, down the good ascent. I was making stupid mistakes on normal corners and had to get off on stupid nothing obstacles.
A bit dissapointed but... so what! As long as it is out of my system.
Adam is a machine, he came 3rd too - in A class, after doing the A grade roadie time trial, not sleeping in the arvo, a night shift then the race. He was even drinking Red Bull, which is a big call for him (I think), He is a honey.

Friday May 9

MTB (East side ride.) 2:24:40 [4]39.14 km (3:42 / km)
ahr:16
Telegraph station fence line, helmet track, dunny track, basin, kangaroo, ridge line backwards, basin again.
Good ride, a few stops, a few stacks, beautiful scenery, really really really fun tracks!!!!
I LOVE THE DUNNY RUNN.

Thursday May 8

MTB (Flynns grave, loop.) 2:50:00 [4]
OK ride, not too good start, good finish.
Good nutrition,

Sunday May 4

Cycle (Ipanema loop) 1:30:00 [3]40 km (2:15 / km)
Took avanti for a pedal as Scott is in the shop still.
OK ride, beautiful countryside, rough road (and a bit nervous about Avanti's legacy) it really makes a difference in ridability in top end products and cheapo's. Rough ride, not so good gearing. oh yeah and buckled rim resistance training (may have been my fault)

Saturday May 3

Running (Telegraph Station) 1:00:00 [3]8 km (7:30 / km)
Plodding along, couple of sprints.
Nice run. Beautiful sunset.
A good place to be.

Friday May 2

Cycle 20:00 [3]
Stacked it on the way to Coreys.
Stupidly taking both bikes to the shop at the same time, stacked it on the road badly, claret everywhere, they thought it was funny, so did work crew... 3 stiches later.
Will be a cool scar when it heals up.
Funny thing is it was the Avanti's maiden voyage too! I've never needed stiched from a bike stack before. This bike may be posessed. I am going to be extra careful on it now.

Thursday May 1

MTB (Golf, Green tag and Emily) 2:30:00 [3]
Hungover after Bo's last night.
Took Ads out to see Greenie and Emily's.
Bit chicken at the beginning, legs weren't working well.
Good ride, plugging through by the end of it.
SICK at work after.
