Cycle race (ACC #3) 1:15:06 [4] 26 km (2:53 / km)
Road race, sneaky sctechy roadies .
Did not enjoy it.
Was sat behind by one old scab who would not pull his weight.
Laurie broke away halfway thru, the others expected me to pull him back - stuff them so he took off. Wasn't caught. I broke away 2km before end - close 2nd. old man nearly pipped me at the post.

Friday Apr 18

MTB (Golf course circuit x2) 1:25:00 [3] 32 km (2:39 / km)
That Heather cold was threatening to resurface as she said it does, I went out for a midday ride anyway and I held up pretty well.
Saw Ads on the way out - he says he was too sick to ride (I think he'd rather philander with the x) but it's only to his own detriment and no skin off my nose.
Feeling really good on the bike. Not sure if it's to do with knowing the paths better, or I am getting my legs back from the ?RR earlier this year, anyhow I think the training is doing well and things are on the up for the race (hopefull) peak.
Foung Golfy is better in Middle/large cog. The bigger is the better, helps you really charge. Standing on hills.
I haven't got a comprehensive training program happening and can't see Pete about a brew either, may see if he can mail somthing over . I will talk with him anyway.
After at work I was feeling a bit flu-ey but that has passed too.
I love Alice. I love MTB.
Great southern land like-a-version came on the radio as I was returning back to town from out back of Golfy, I could see the West Macdonnalds ranges purple over the horizon, the rough terrain and trees in front, mild autumn air, it was really cool. breathtaking!

Running (Anzac hill) 40:00 [3]
Tried to catch the sunrise this morning. Got up to Anzac and did a couple of repas up and down but the sun was just taking too long.
Aparently it rises at 650am so it wasn't going to happen anyway.

Wednesday Apr 16

MTB (East side run) 2:45:00 [4]
Did the beginning of golf course, initial hills, washingmachine, kangaroo (the first 3 kms and back), dunny.
Refused to walk any of the hills. am begining to get them now. Not sure if I was feeling good because
a) I havent rode for a couple of days
b) wasn't pushing to keep up with Adam
c) getting to get how to climb these hills
was able to push it and feeling really good by the end of the ride. Had to get back to meet heather for lunch. This cold for some reason has decided to be an EVIL 24 hour thing as I actually feel better now! Which is awesome.

Tuesday Apr 15

Sunday Apr 13

MTB race (XC #2) 1:08:09 [4]
5th Place B class.
3 laps, reverse basin.
23.04, slow poxy hills got off three times. Passed by boy and Justine after the first ascent and couldn't catch them.
22.46, knew what was coming and only walked twice. got caught up with justine getting off at times too.
22.19, getting into the rythm of it, pushing it where I could. Passed Justine with ease this time round - I think she was getting tired.

All out at least I finished this time (adam had a flat this week-not happy and now can empathise- instead of laugh) it was OK, I could have done better off the bat and only started to feel good by the last lap.
Justine is not too bad actually and could prove to be usefull if we need to team up and pace for the Anaconda. esp. the Ross river stage.
I'll try to get out with her a couple of times.
Was coughing up stuff after the race, had some ventolin etc. and kept coughing all arvo.
