Running hills (xc/terrain) 43:50 [3] 4.3 km (10:12 / km) +400m 6:57 / km
ahr:150 max:175 weight:90.1kg shoes: inov-8 oroc 280 red - 2nd pair

Hills route...
1. 37:20 (18:45, 18:35)

With Elmin! I kind of figured that my 13 year-old bonus son wouldn't have a problem with this but I wasn't totally sure. In reality it was 'duck to water' and he proper enjoyed himself. I tried to drop him on the last hill (hence 175 max pulse) but he stayed right on my tail to the very top.

At least it seems that we are a long way from 'your powers are weak old man'.

Static Stretching & Massage 36:00 [0]

Haven't been struggling with any LH-side issues the last couple of weeks but I mostly put that down to the anti-inflammatory medicine. Didn't take any today however and there is a definite difference in the left hamstring in that stretching it doesn't aggravate the left glute so much anymore. Pleasing progress, wish I could say the same for the right ankle. At least I'm running.

Knee good - for the first time in over a year it's starting to look like the RH-side one.

Orienteering long (forest) 2:09:00 [2] 15.1 km (8:33 / km)
ahr:138 max:158 weight:90.2kg shoes: inov-8 oroc 280 red - 2nd pair

(14.7, 58.6, 43.9, 14.2)

Alby Naturpasset, dark.

Maybe the last chance to train on these controls before they get taken in. I had a faint ambition that I might be able to clear all the controls in the 2 hours I had before dinner. Fairly early on however started throwing time away, mostly because of my own bad night o technique (or maybe o technique full stop, certainly if recent performances are anything to go by) but also a new electric fence has been erected just N of the club hut.

Managed only 14/25 in the end, poor. Nice and long however and the ankle only started feeling it in the terrain towards the end of the session.

Stick that up your 'unproductive' training status Mr. Forerunner 245!

Almost 5 minutes faster than 2 weeks ago. Smash.
