Some faster riding today, cycled as easy as possible to the non-graded Hellasspåret that goes by the OK Ravinen club hut, completed 2 laps of that before taking in some of the 'blue' blå spåret, holbandola and Sörmansleden trails on the way home.

Hot today, really dry mouth by the time I got back. Take a drink next time stupid!

Benchmark terrain route 3.

This actually went quite well, not actually all that painful, felt like I was moving through the terrain a little more naturally than I have been recently.

Took map/compass, used them once or twice but maybe on the next go I will be brave and leave them at home.

Core Stability (floor) 30:00 [0]

'Core flex' online workout with Elisabeth. Some of this was what I needed, other bits hurt my groin and some other bits I found pretty much impossible to follow.

Went out today with much more of a plan, str8 out to the Sörmansleden stage 3, a 'red' section which at one point was ridiculously difficult. Even with my new SPDs (now on order) would I not even attempt to stay on the bike there - lots of practice needed before trying to ride that!

Then via the 'green' Nyforskopplet and back onto the Sörmansleden and this time an enjoyable (and more importantly possible) 'blue' section through Alby and onto the same route that I took on Monday towards Nacka. Today however (armed with significantly more map memory knowledge) I didn't miss any of the technical sections.

After that I moved onto some faster stuff on the same wider trails and forest roads as Monday, just a little more distance.

Really enjoying my riding!

Hills route...
1. 37:45 (18:35, 19:10)
2. ??:?? (18:50)

Definitely a better feeling in the left hip this week and only the ibuprofen beforehand too, gave the paracetamol a miss. Really hope I am starting to come through this LH-side woe, it's been 6 months now.

Knee-wise the feeling is also good. Maybe even the best yet since the accident. It seems I can fill the left thigh up with lactic quite easily now, especially in the beginning of the session. Towards the end of the session as tiredness sets in (and the ability to control the balance decreases) the right thigh still tends to take over however.

The jury is still out on whether or not the knee has completely recovered and it is now 100% the long-term LH-side problem that means I naturally put more load on my right leg.

Right ankle coping, just.

Decided it would be nice to leave the MTB tyres on and go exploring the trails, not in Tyresta as the national park is quite restricted in terms of biking so headed over to Nacka instead - I'd heard good things about the trails there only recently.

I don't have a map board anymore so did the best I could map memory style - this did not go well but got lost in a quite cool fashion, taking in the 'Slumstigen' and 'Eastern Access' MTB trails by accident. These seemed quite difficult (especially the former) but if I'd had decent pedals/shoes I don't think I would have needed to put a foot down except for at the fallen trees. The guide on the internet agrees and labels these trails as 'easy'.

Unfortunately I didn't have the courage to continue onto the 'medium' difficulty trail (which incidentally would have taken me pretty much where I'd planned on going in the first place) because I was quite frankly lost by that point. So turned back the way I came, taking the same 'easy' trails in again and found the path I'd actually planned on taking in the first place, got some speed up on some wider trails before going home via the town centre of all places.

Woke up the next day with upper body 'aches' - need to buy some proper pedals and shoes and do this again!
