Cycling intervals (road/xc) 1:55:40 [1] 37.0 km (3:08 / km) +315m 3:00 / km
shoes: schwalbe marathon

Big turf session on the bike this afternoon, tried to go around the outskirts of where I had been previously in order to pick up lots of zones that I hadn't already been to ('unique').

Legs pretty much back to normal before I started, pretty much back to ruined once I had finished.

Annoyingly managed to stop and save on my watch before I had finished...

Note

Very easy cycling to loosen off the legs (and grab some more zones).

I built a trampoline today, not a small one (4.3m diameter). Ankle started complaining after a few hours of doing this, got a little bit swollen.

Walking (xc/terrain) 2:04:15 [1] 9.3 km (13:22 / km)

Easy hike with Nick into the national park to grab some neutral turf zones (ones that nobody has taken yet this month). Fantastic weather for it!

Ankle back to usual size before the walk and it pretty much stayed that way after the walk. However it did get a little painful towards the end, started limping a little the last 5mins. So still probably too much.

Another evening turf session but went harder tonight. Legs are officially tired now.

It wasn't the plan to do this much but there's this other player in league 11, group 471 that seems to also be going for promotion. Trying to send a message, demoralise this person lol so I can take it easier for the remainder of this month's game.

More turf intervals, it seems I have become addicted pretty much immediately. One does get that score event feeling, picturing past Boxing Day Canters in my head at regular intervals.

The stiffness and slight pain/ache from yesterday's walk went away pretty quickly but my ankle is fairly swollen. It's really not good because it makes keeping up with my rehab impossible - I have a hard enough time as it is making reasons up in my head as to why I should skip the exercises for today. I don't need another excuse!

Best to do more on the bike, more rehab & shorter, slower walks but being patient is something I've never been good at. A little bit why I ended up here in the first place, trying to do too much on an injured ankle.

Walking (road/xc/terrain) 2:06:35 [1] 13.9 km (9:06 / km)
shoes: walsh pb trainer

Longest walk yet since ankle op and brisk with it. One km split even went under 8mins :o

Probably a bit too much for my foot, especially the bits through the terrain. Once again I just have to hope I get away with it.

Of course the route was based around turf zones but the primary goal was to get some good exercise honest guv.

weight:97.7kg shoes: schwalbe marathon

More turfing but this time on the bike. Annoying to keep having to get my phone out, could probably do with a holder to attach it to the handlebars like a computer but what about when it rains? Waterproof phone? At least then one could do the island/open water zones. Hmm, starting to get a little bit obsessed lol.

Anyway good kind of interval session - having to accelerate back up to speed after each and every zone. This was fun to begin with but tough towards the end - still tried to get more zones though even though I was tired. Good training I guess.
