Hit 56.2km/h on the flat in a 50k area. Probably got some weird looks from drivers as i was passing them

Being injured i thought i'd better do something and seeing as swimming sports are in a week i thought i'd get a bit of practice in. Did all sorts of stuff including a few intervals in our pool. Intensity was about 4 just cos i'm a pretty poor swimmer and it was hard work, but good fun.

First time on the track for about 2 months so wasn't expecting much tonight. Also havn't done any speed work at all yet apart from a few sprint'O races. So was pleased to do 4.26.58 and finish really strongly. 5th behind Eric, James, Cam and Marno. Gonna be real tough to do well at East Coasts this year with all them plus others running. Have to try get down to under 4.20 so i can break the school record in just over 2 weeks.

Monday Feb 18

Me and Brett at Cornwall Park doing fartleks at 3k pace. 4x3min reps with 2min recvs. Took turns leading and was awesome fun just missioning it randomly through all the gardens and bushes. Felt good again, legs good

Evening run around upper Havelock and through some reserves but not quite up to the peak. Just an easy run, mostly on flats but a bit of up and down to test the legs, felt suprisingly good after a few big nights out haha.
