| Didn't have a good run today. Started fine and was going good through the early forest controls but messed up 7 big time. Lost about 7-8mins in the dunes. Thought i'd hit the dunes left of the control, then go right to it but i ended up hitting the dunes right by the control and then went way too far left and found it really hard to relocate from where i thought i was. Also screwed 9 somehow. My bearing went a bit off and i found a completely parallel feature with two signs at the end of an open re-entrant and got soo confused as to why the control wasn't there. The rest of the course was ok but never really very fast. Think i lost some time to others just running through the dunes because i don't have a high leg lift and pretty much dragged my legs through all the crap and kept falling over. The forest was way better suited to me and i could actually race and get into a rhythm. |

| Really sucks that this course was invalidated because i had a wicked run. Messed up the first control and 14 but generally good apart from them. Got caught by Carsten (again) and was lucky to get a tow through the tricky ones (7,8) but was pretty head to head after that until he got away at 15. My leg felt sore for the first few controls but then the pain kind of faded, probably cos the pain of my blister was worse haha. Got a pretty good flow happening though and didn't really slow down at all around controls and just kept running solidly through. 4th m21e |
