Orienteering race 41:41 [3]

JK Middle distance race. 3 errors, 2 from not reading the control descriptions. Went all the way around the building at 3, tried to be ambitious and go through the coppiced area at 4 , veered off and ended up nearer 7 than 5 when I finally got to the other side. At the end went into the field and was put off by the control on the old tractor. Took a while to work out it wasn't mine and I needed a gate. Not much difference there! Was 7 seconds and 3 places behind Denise. Will have to get her tomorrow!

Orienteering race 15:39 [3]

JK Sprint at Brunel University. Small area, simple courses, very fast. So show lost time and places from last control. Think my SIAC didn't register initially, but luckily I sent back and punched manually. Got gold standard behind Christine Kidddier who was flying round.

Orienteering race 1:13:38 [3]

BAOC Aldermaston, Light Green course. Good area. Pity there was no scale on the map. Not just me who was confused there! 3 big errors, luckily the 2nd one was pointed out by Eric Harper so was able to go back and do 11 which I'd missed out! Hopefully that's all the errors out of the way before the JK. Lovely warm, sunny day.

Orienteering race 1:04:22 [3]

TVOC Chiltern Challenge, Short Green course.Very steep out of start. Messed up 3 as my attackpoint had been removed(a horse jump!). Veered off to left some way going to 5 and took a while to sort myself out. Better once up on the top where you could contour. Fine until descending to last couple of controls. It was very steep and slippery.Headed towards the Finish whereas I needed to be further right. Adjusted but lost time.Still managed to be 3rd in the SCOA Champs, behind Inara who did an amazing time, and Denise who beat me ny 7 minutes to be second. Gorgeous sunny day.
