Quite a scrappy run, bits of time lost throughout being careful when there was no need. I felt I was running someone else's course backwards as most controls were very visible on the near side of features. Came unstuck on 14 where I took to 'courageous' (stupid) straight route rather than follow the track... Also very hesitant on last as I did not want to run down hill away from the finish, knowing I'd have to come straight back up. Happy to feel a bit stronger in the terrain again and able to keep my wits about me (relative to recent months), still need to focus better though! Glasses are getting more manageable too.

Yoga 1:30:00 [3]

Not sure if I can convince myself to do this again. Very tough going today. 40 degrees and 52% humidity is what the thermometer said when we finished. Light headed and shaky now. Felt I was a bit more able in the stretching, but shoulder strength and ability to keep clear head in the heat makes it hard.

Red Hill - nice day out but my lungs and legs were not ready for the hills! Found it hard work physically but relatively straightforward course. Biggest mistake was at 3 where I was looking for an erosion gully (found a ditch) instead of a termite mound.

Parent helper "dance-off" after the school athletics carnival. So they seriously expect public humiliation of parent and child will encourage future volunteering???

Not sure if sore glutes are from that or all the shot put retrievals I did. Tough work trying to judge throw legality and peg landing spots and collect the shots...
