MTB 1:15:00 [3] 17.37 km (13.9 kph) +270m
shoes: Sidi MTB

Rode from Lyneham netball courts while Aoife did some trainng there, met Nat at AIS for some fun around Bruce Ridge. Tracks nice and solid after the rain, apart from a few slushy mud puddles. Lots of fun, rode Daviesi Down for the first time and survived OK. Missed a few turns rushing to get back to the courts at the end so just rode along Dryandra St which was not too hill.

Around ArandA with Nat. Feeling a bit cold and miserable after a wet morning at athletics, great out running though! Feeling tired today.

Earlyish excursion Over to Majura Pines and checking some tapes. Nice morning out and fairly efficient.

Again only 1 foot out coming up Boy Wonder. Finally tried Wonder Woman. After starting out thinking it was a bit lame I could not make it up a couple of steep pinches :|.

An interrupted afternoon and I just wasn't in the mood for this today. Not helped by having to go back to rego after I forgot to clear and check and making stupid mistakes out there. Decided to cut my losses, go home and finish making the dinner that wasn't done yet. No regrets.

To and from work. Didn't start my watch properly on the way in. Good time coming home but the headwind got stronger the closer I got to home!

Stromlo Loop 4 (with the short cut). Started out well and climbing the hill I'd been afraid of was fine. Rocky parts on top were playing havoc with my ankle so I was taking it easy on the rocky downhill sections. Pretty cautious but think I can improve at these. Then about 200m after we rode past the short cut Eoin got a flat. We tried fixing it but not enough tyre pressure for him to keep riding. So I came back via the short cut and he went via the road. Really enjoyed the end bit - Party Line is one of my favourite tracks - smooth, fast and flowy and the recently cut pine logs made it smell nice too :).

Improvement required on Roller Coaster, Magpie Rock and Slip Rock -although I did miraculously make it down slip rock.

PS - standing around for 20 minutes mid ride fixing a flat tyre works wonders for sore ankles - first time in 3 days it hasn't been hurting!
