Teams race at Narrabundah Hill. Good fun although I was not navigating well and felt slow with many people running away from me! Only did 1 leg as was manning the cake stall today. Marathon baking effort yesterday. Tally was 3 cakes by me, 1 cake and 1 batch of cookies by Aoife (plus decorating 1 of my cakes). Amazing the number of requests for hot tea, coffee, hot chocolate! A cold, damp, foggy morning. Too bad the fog did not deter my competitors :)

Putting out controls at Cottermouth. Looked to be fun courses, despite some hoopla for the setter at the last minute. Always a pressure situation, finding control locations on morning of event without tapes, fumbling with controls and tying knots! Only missed 1 control, got it pretty quickly once I turned back in the right direction.

Wednesday retired peoples event at Aranda.

Started shockingly badly. Head not in it as I had received a call at 12, that went until almost 1! Managed to prepare and eat lunch, get changed, collect gear and get into car while in discussions... Drove straight to event when finished (3 minutes) and was off within another minute so not too late starting. However, just was not looking at map or concentrating for fist 5 controls. After disaster on 5th got my act together and was OK from there...

On the positive side, I must be getting fitter and stronger as I kept accidentally running uphill unnecessarily :)

Collected controls after and benefitted from time out :)

Took a the spare time between swimming carnival and school pick up to get out on Black Mountain again. Slowly making progress, many termite mounds gone, but some impressive replacements. Lots of nice contour detail at slow speed.

Glad I went because the emails cascaded in at about 4pm!
