Its been a long time since I've orienteered this far, Felt my concentration going at one stage! Only a couple of mistakes, too low coming into 7 and did not look up so did not see it (when collecting I cam from above and it was much flatter terrain and easy to spot). Then at 9 got distracted part way along the leg, lost my place and was way high. Luckily pulled up before I was too far off, correctly relocated and got the control no problems - that one had potentially to go very bad. Other than than, very tired and slow to start and running out of steam by the end. Fairly clean run but lots of other very fast times today.

Really extending the time on feet this weekend! A long control collection lop and very tired by the end. Tried to jog parts heading out but could only walk coming back.

A bit tired and sore after a few long days in Melbourne and after a bit of a fall doing DIY last Sunday so very happy with this run. With Nat forging a pace, we headed down through Bushlands to Arboretum edge and lake, along to Black Mtn and gently upwards back home. Needed to end ASAP and feeling woozy later but still feel this was a good step forward.

Note

For the record...
Spent the end of the week at Aus Schools Swimming in Melbourne. A good and well run event and Aoife did really well with PBs in all her events. With similar prep (travel) its a good indication of how much illness last year was an impact. We did try to be quite active while away even though swimming opportunities were limited, this and a week back at training before the races seemed to work well.
