Run 55:16 [3] 7.88 km (7:01 / km) +143m 6:26 / km
shoes: Kayano 26

Early run with Nat, still quite chilly to start, but warmed up. A bit tired, but OK. Feeling the hills, but kept going (mostly).

PS - calf/ankle thing virtually unnoticeable!

Got Aoife out of the house by going to get a few local geocaches. 4/4 not bad.

Another tester run - gentle but long (ish). We walked up most of the hills, but that was fine! Lots of people out, some we passed multiple times. A bit cool and gusty but quite good. Just got cold queuing for take away coffee from Little Oink afterwards. Retired home where I turned the heater on, 3 weeks before Anzac Day.

Testing run with Nat to see if my calf would survive - it did, although was quite a gentle pace. A bit of a stupid injury and probably not calf since the pain is works on flats, then downhills and barely perceptible going up.

Rather creaky after a morning of trampoline building and then weeding. Old trampoline links were rusted through (after almost 10 years) and as the mat is 3 year old sized, and replacement mats quite expensive, I splurged on a new one. Not many almost teenagers want a trampoline, but it is a good option to have in the backyard just now.

shoes: Kayano 26

Got to the other side of Aranda Hill and my left ankle/Achilles seized up. Walked a bit then tried to deviate through Kanagroo Paddocks for a softer surface, but no help. So turned back and walked up the hill towards home. Annoying, as I had started off feeling quite good.

Run 8:00 [3] 1.3 km (6:09 / km)
shoes: Kayano 26

Felt a bit more mobile towards the top of the hill so jogged home. Stopped to talk to a friend part way (and forgot to restart watch).

A decent effort from Aoife. After "school" and between meetings :). This was the final effort to finish her "Laps for Life" fundraiser. The laps were prematurely ended, firstly as AIS closed very early to allow olympic teams to continue to train, then we arranged to transfer to Gungahlin, but they closed before any sessions. A few challenging bike rides was a good replacement. Thanks to everyone who supported her and contributed. Its been a great lesson for her! Especially learning to be resilient when planning ahead is not easy...
