Orienteering 30:18 [3] 4.22 km (7:11 / km) +50m 6:47 / km

OK-ish run apart from 7, and a few micro route choice errors along the way. The biggest problem was that Aoife caught and passed me. First time that's happened (she has caught me previously but never run away...). I have been expecting it in a spring but a bit early for a terrain event I think. Lots of time loss on 7 to console myself with (4 min from the GPS trace!).

More GPS upload problems, and now it wont show the time or turn on/off. Looks like my hot glue solution is not so sound.

Ski 5:00:00 [3]

Another ski day with the family (except Eoin). Both legs and feet were suffering today, not sure why! Good fun. As usual. Lots of recently fallen snow - big flooffy piles and settled in trees, but a bit more needed on the runs. Plenty of time yet for that to happen..

Orienteering 47:00 [3] 6.0 km (7:50 / km)
shoes: VJ Irock 2

Orienteering at Campbell Park. GPS fail to load so not sure if time/distance. I am not convinced the time credited in eventor is right... ok apart from stupid route choice up hill to 2. And insane parallel error for 7. In hindsight, I’m pretty sure I’ve made the same error here before. Need to remember for any next time! Hard work today with lots of climb.

Swim 30:00 [3]

At North Durras today. Yet another beautiful beach. We had limited time (could see the storm coming) and the sea was rougher today - rough enough to warrant being in the water with the kids. I knew I had to brace myself so spent most of the time chest deep in the water but arms out to my sides and saved from getting wet - just to preserve all possible body temperature until the girls would agree to get out! Even stayed in longer than Andy, who was body surfing and had no wet suit. Some good waves caught but hard work with extra wind to contend with today and some channels in the water. So cold after - took over an hour with the car heater on full before I could feel my feet again.

Depot Beach to Pebbly Beach and return. Hard work running on the sand, slippery rocks and pebbles! Well worth it though, such a stunning morning. but we could see the storm brewing out to sea so knew time in the sun was limited!
