First physical hit out having been a bit sick the past week, sailing with Annika on the 13. A huge nor' easter (gusts to 30kts) made it more of a work out than I was ready for, and was knackered in the evening but holy crap we had some wild rides under kite down the harbour.
Corporate intervals. Tagged along with a work group that has started to train for the JP Morgan thingo in November, and ended up doing a much tougher session than anticipated.
Intervals and observatory hills were ok, but the core & strength stuff in between reps was brutal.
A cunning car-dance. Annika drove my car home from sailing - she had a hot date to get to, and I hung around for season opening beers on the deck. Sunday morning I then ran to Killarney to collect the car - and Tom - to take him back down to Manly for his sail.

A solid paddle in a big bouncy swell while Tom sailed. the sourtherly had blown in some rollers that were bouncing off Dobroyd for a most enjoyable washing machine riding experience.
Big southerly for my first sail of the year with Annika on the new boat. Technical error cut short the day when we discovered on the water that the spreader end caps hadn't been glued in properly, and a backstay swinging loose in the wind meant for a hasty retreat. Had a blast before that - quite some power in that boat.
Alcohol-free beer stairs with Andy. A fairly lazy cruise around the Pyrmont stair reps and no time for Quarryman's at the end with a meeting audience too senior straight after to dare a pint.
5 * wharfies: 1:59, 1:54, 1:53: 1:52, 1:51 on 90 sec. Surprisingly good splits for the current level of threshold fitness, which I put down to running dynamics feeling rather good (for me).
Cruisy run over to Glebe with Bart via the foreshores. Things started to get intense on the back half with Bart looking increasingly desperate to make it back in time for a toilet visit. Sounds like I dodged a bullet.
Sailing on the new skiff with Tom. He steered today, and I crewed which made for a brutal couple of hours of leg squats on the trapeze, and trashed arms from trimming. Suprisingly hard work, and great fun.
