Running 1:30:00 [3]

Had planned to ride, but switched to a run due to the weather. Headed out to do the Spit Manly track from home (long run) but aborted at Seaforth Oval. Decided I wasnt up to it.

Had been a busy morning. Nemo the goldfish of 2.5 years 'passed away' overnight, so had to help the kids through this little life lesson while at the same time gently cajoling Annika to get to t-ball on time.

"Daddy, is there water in heaven for fish?"

Tricky one.

Windtrainer at home after aborted long run, working on technique.

Time on the windtrainer should count for at least double.

Akuna West-Head loop solo. Uneventful ride. 9:00 up Akuna, bludged a bit along West Head road, stopped for the view at the end (if you dont youve got priorities wrong), started pouring with rain just as i was grinding the coffee beans on arrival home.

Not a long ride, but you know youve been out by the end of it.

Quick pipeline spin. Water was filthy after the rain. The flat nose on the K1 was picking up leaves so much I looked like a festive fire-boat. Got sick of bouncing them off and lived with it.

Cycling 15:00 [3]

Tried to ride to work in the rain but slashed tyre on a broken bottle heading down to Roseville bridge. Tried to repair slash with a 10 dollar note without success. Rescued by Katrin who was dropping kids at school.

Gym at lunch to make up for aborted ride. Bike, row, swissball, weight in equal measure. Decent amount of stretching.

Running 30:00 [3]

Jog & Gym. Opera House loop with an LMC interval to see where the legs are at. 2:27 - suprisingly sharp.

Warm and muggy.

Cycling 55:00 [3]

Rode home the bike that's been sitting in town since last friday. Felt good to spin the legs. Seem to have come through the weekend relatively unscathed. Had sore feet yesterday, but OK now.

Commuter bike feels like a piece of sh*t after a weekend on the Yeti. How I love that bike.
