Cycling 3:00:00 [3]

Akuna / West - Head. First ride round Akuna since resurfacing - similar to the West Head Rd it's now the cycling equivalent of kayaking in shallow water.

Cold & windy, just plugging away. Was more of a 'had to' than 'want to' ride.

Annika's climbing gym birthday party afterwards much more fun.

Up at 6 to squeeze in a run up the NOSH to Lindfield b4 morning of kiddie sports.

30 minutes of half asleep garbage before getting going.

Roseville to magazines, then back up to pipeline turn-off. Gradually increased the tempo until paddling pretty solid at 55 min. little bit of cruising then 10 * 30s on/off on the way back down - pushing really hard.

Turned up to find rather nice conditions for a pipeline paddle - high tide, glassy water & 14 degrees, so upgraded planned cruisy paddle to solid.

pipeline split 40:20 (with a crap turnaround).

Boat glide on glassy water most enjoyable.

Met parents at a traffic light on the way in.

Rode home an hour after a beer. Coupled with a late lunch made for a bad case of the snoozies. Nice to ride home before dark for once.

Misty morning. Nice ride - bit of strength feeling in the legs.

Delayed start as a result of Thomas' refusal to get in the car due to bird-poo on his window.

Nice morning for a ride. Feeling a bit fatigued on the up bits.

Freehub needs a clean.

Running (Intervals) 45:00 [5]

Treadmill intervals. 2 sets of 5 * 400m @ 72 sec with 48 sec recovery at 5min/k. 5 mins stretching between sets.

ie. set treadmill for 1:12 at 3min/k then 0:48 recovery at 5min/k for a round 2min.

Thought I might be a bit fatigued for an interval session, but felt pretty good. Feeling comfortable on the intervals, but watching the clock on the last one.

Sweat is a problem doing efforts indoors.

Suprised to meet a Bush Turkey 5km from the CBD.

Left city at 11pm at a keen to get home pace. Hunger flat on the hill up from Roseville bridge. Fortunately there was sushi in the fridge.

Opera House loop, then finished with 5 min on the tready. 1min at 3mpk. Reckon I made it in to a fair few Japanese photo albums today.

Rode to Haberfield to collect Bruno the van. Far quicker to ride there than take a bus at that time of day.
