Cycling 5:53:00 [3] 100.0 km (3:32 / km)

Angry Doctor 100k

Too busy to write a report. Forgot Id enrolled in an MBA unit this term & need to pull 3000 words out of my ass in 2 days on something I havent researched (on top of usual work).

No time to get organised with a hectic family week beforehand & only just made it down. But sublime course, great weather, no stressing about racing - fun ride with wifey for a lot of it. Good times.

New wheels sweet, but the seals in my fork blew. Feel the arms today.

Cycling 35:00 [3]

Rode in from Artarmon.

Started the day with a read of the Keen Torquers Bull report. Particularly enjoyed the paragraph that so neatly catches the essence of the post race box sorting....

The next day is cleaning and sorting gear. Gear boxes and bike boxes inevitably contain the smelliest, dirtiest, hard to identify stuff you can imagine. It never ceases to amaze me, but while your racing, in your desperation for carbs, you can squeeze every last drop of gel from a packet. But put that dessicated wrapper in a gear box and it will continue to ooze gel over every piece of kit in the box. So after two days of sitting in the hot sun, when you finally come to clean out your box, every sock, every glove, the handlebars of your bike, your one clean t-shirt will be covered in a mixture of horrible sticky red, orange and yellow gel. The only solution is; if it can bend put it in the wash, if it?s solid then hose it down. If you can?t decide, hose it first then either, chuck it out or wash it, simple. Then once everything is sorted out, be prepared to continue to return and have returned various pieces of kit (especially socks) for the next couple of months from your other team mates.

Kayak 55:00 [3]
shoes: Mako 6

To Northbridge from Roseville. Started comfortably then steadily increased tempo throughout, bludging the last km.

Dang the ski feels heavy compared to the nelo.

Cycling 45:00 [3]

Rode Yeti in to collect new wheels.

Remember logging last year that you (I) cant make the Miller St lights from the West St roundabout. Happy to note that is no longer the case.

Cycling 45:00 [3]

Cant tell much about new wheels on the road, but the red spoke nipples are pretty sexy.
