Kayak 50:00 [3]
shoes: Mako 6

Downstream then up Castle Cove arm. Bit of wind and plenty of boats about.

1,2,3,4,4,3,2,1 intervals on 50% rec. Not super intense intervals, but power still faded on the last couple. Pretty average effort.

Running 40:00 [3]

Gentle pre-paddle trot up the river. No rush.

Kayak 50:00 [3]
shoes: Viper K1

Pipeline. First time in the K1 for a while - thought I might feel a bit wobbly with some windchop about but was OK.

Started a jog up the river post paddle, but aborted after 400m. Quads a bit stiff was the excuse, but basically just cbf. Ate pizza and watched Zoolander instead.

Strength 10:00 [3]

Spent the day digging and swinging an axe. Paddling muscles pumped.

Legs have recovered well.

Note

Kindergarten 'graduation'.

Im always nervous when the 2nd verse of the national anthem is sung. Too much room for Howard-esque schoolboy mischief in the line..

"For those who've come across the seas, We've boundless plains to share"

"For those who've come across the seas, we'll decide who comes to this country and the manner in which they arrive"

Gym 20:00 [3]

Turned out that one of the runners from the weekend was a manager at the pool/sports complex near the airport. Dropped off luggage then went to the pool for a recovery session.

Did a few laps of pool running 'cause there were pool running belts there. Established that it is still a painfully boring thing to do, but good for the legs.

Spa jet leg massage great.
