Cycling 2:58:00 [3]

Evening Mt Colah return after Katrin returned from the Max Adv race (with Hugh S). Cruisy ride with a bit of a push up the hills - 9:09 kalkari (low gear spin), turramurra 10:09 (bigger gear, controlled).

Katrin & Hugh added a few more scalps to the beaten by a girl club.

Cycling 2:15:00 [3]

Morning Akuna loop (while kids saturday sport is off for the holidays) with Dave, Guenter, PD & Marcel. Cruisy with the usual windup along Mona Vale Rd. Decided at cafe I was still knackered & aborted planned longer ride for a short nap instead.

Running 55:00 [3]

Evening river loop.

Running 1:15:00 [3]

Ran in from C Cove. Temperature in the low 30's already at 8am. Stop start heap of crap.

Reminded that packs with double zips should be done up to the side, rather than at the top. Pack fell open in Northbridge - collected shoes, then a nervous jog back up the hill looking for my wallet.

Discovered at work that Id lost my salmon & cream cheese sandwiches. Gutted.

Getting a bit bored with running. Missing the paddling.

Running 1:15:00 [3]

Absolutely fucked.

Cycling 45:00 [3]

School holiday shuffle. Let the kids loose on the neighbours as I had to head to work before Katrin got back from her (impressively) early morning ride.

Took the North Sydney shortcut and pushed the pace to make a meeting. Passed a police multivan - looked like Bruno dressed up for a costume party.

Running 1:45:00 [3]

Stuck at work. Ran home as too late to make SS, which meant pack of cycling gear and work clothes. Interesting that pack was only 4.5kg but felt heavier, probably cause all the shoes meant weight not tucked in on the back.

Hunger flat from Middle Cove home. Belgian beer on arrival as consolation.

Cycling 53:00 [3]

Rode in from the physio in Hunter's Hill. Took a detour through Balmain, getting a bit lost in the maze that it is. Stylish part of the world - liked the injured lass with her arm in a designer sling to match her outfit.

Running 35:00 [3]

Lunch trot. As a bit of an experiment started with a minute or 2 of drills to wake the legs up - the type that sprinters do.

Usual loop but with a single Henry and government house hill leg speed/flow test. 2:19 for Henry, 37s for hill. 5 sec faster than previous best on the Henry, which is a lot as Ive been doing them for a number of years - go figure.

Cycling 35:00 [3]

Rolled back out to Hunter's Hill. Iron Cove bridge path is dangerous when the nor' easter is up. Gladesville bridge is steep.

Cycling 55:00 [3]

Luverly morning for a ride. Would have been even better morning for a paddle though. Looked down from Roseville Bridge longingly at a glassy king tide.

Cycling 1:05:00 [3]

Solid ride home. Biggish gear up the hills. Focus on keeping posture good. Late start due to yapping at CBD.
