Rode home from Elvina with a Belrose detour to stretch it out a bit.

The commuter runs out of gears on Mona Vale Rd.

Bantry Bay loop. Think Ill turn this in to the regular run - much rockier and hence more fun than the river loop. Tad longer though.

Waited until the temperature dropped from 40+ to 30+, then trot up the hill and along the Waratah track return.

Most pleased to meet a Frill Necked Lizard, keen to show off his frilliness. Noticed they also flatten their body and point it at you to look marrssive. Fun to walk around them to make them circle.

Hustled in only to find the meeting i was chasing has been cancelled.

Bought a wrist brace last night - felt good on the bike. Might even consider trying a bit of a paddle.

Gonna be a hot one.

Commute to Elvina Bay. Sensational ride, starting in the CBD with the busyness gradually diminishing as you go. Hit the national park with evening light and no one around, then down the firetrail off the west head road to awaiting Indian Pale Ale and wallaby on the lawn.

Rolled in with the missus. Suprisingly, she set a rather relaxed pace.

Tool dodging across the bridge. Road bikes should not be ridden outside of races by people that didnt get a chance to satisfy their competitive urges through sport as a child. The stress must outweigh the health benefits.

Then got back to the car to find a truck from the nearby building site had whacked my bumper. I look forward to a note of apology and offer of reimbursement tomorrow morning. haha.

Beach intervals. 10 * 90sec on 1min, after catching the Obamathon on CNN. Plenty of radio announcers would kill for that voice.

Great beach for morning intervals - freshly groomed, with very little camber on the soft sand & cool in the shade of the hotel.

Starting to feel stronger again. Think Ive had a bit of a tummy bug the past week or so - Annika complaining of symptoms very similar to how Ive been feeling lately.

Cruisy corporate jog along the waterfront in Glenelg, although the vibe is all a bit Gold Coast.

6am Magazines blob. The usual difficult-to-get-up-but-luverly-once-out scenario.

Struggled home in to the seabreeze on a rear tire at about 20psi. Stopped at servo for some lollies to avoid hunger flat.

After a couple of rides on the roadie, the old commuter felt bloody awful - flatish tire didnt help. Think I deserve an upgrade.
