Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

Headed out for an Akuna loop with wifey, but abandoned as left knee was a bit sore & without a warm-up (which I didnt have time for) would achieve not much more than making knee sorer.

Rolled around on the flats for a little bit to loosen up instead, then headed off for a day of t-ball watching.

Cycling 5:55:00 [3]

7am start with plans for a long solo steady ride, with rough plans to head north and take it from there.

Past Pie in the Sky and down to Brooklyn. Had begun mentally penning an AP entry along the lines of - 'spectacularly uneventful ride, disappointed not to get stopped for a blow by the RBT unit on old highway' when I met Hugh Stodart on the Hawkesbury bridge.

Turned around and rode back with Hugh until we came across Darvo near Bobbin Head, who turned and tagged on. Pied piper mode in full swing when Crazy Alan (looking out of place on a bike with gears) tagged on for a bit through Turramurra.

Dropped Darvo in St Ives, then continued with Hugh through to Terrey Hills , down through Church Point and Pittwater Rd to Narrabeen. Along Wakehurst Parkway (dont like that road for riding). Left Hugh at Warringah Rd, quick stop at the servo to grab a white choc magnum, python and fill the bottles with icy cold coke (mmm) and tacked on a loop up to Terrey Hills and back.

Nice ride, feeling pretty good despite bit of a head cold. Last hour was a bit of a grind.

Cycling 40:00 [3]

Had to yell at an old fart that almost ran me over while I was walking across a pedestrian crossing, complete with green walking man.

Gym 30:00 [3]

Cunningly missed a fire drill.

Cycling 45:00 [3]

Cant remember, but bike is at home.

Throat a bit sore, so took it easy.

If I ever need to conjure an image of contentment, it will be hard to go past the sight of the fella in roadworker garb and bikie beard, drapped on a deckchair under a tree in his yard sucking a VB longneck.

Cycling 55:00 [3]

Starting to get back in to the commuting rythm. Time to think about going for a run. 2 week post cradle break has expired.

Amusing(?) story from Katrin at the Otway. Apparently there were an unpleasant number of broken collarbones due to some nasty erosion in a few spots.

Including one guy who while waiting by the side of the track, was approached by a passing rider and asked if he needed his chain anymore!

Cycling 55:00 [3]

Hill efforts commute. Pushed the hills, and finished with 30 on-off up from roseville bridge. Smashed by Crown of the Hill.

Most pleased to see Spicks and Specks play the video, with subtitles, of my interval song Ca Plan Pour Moi. Like it even more now i realise how absurd the lyrics are.

Cycling 50:00 [3]

Cruised in at a 'get to work when i damn well feel like it' pace. Was so enjoying rolling through the back steets of Willoughby on a bewdiful late summer mornning that I missed a turn.

Cycling 45:00 [3]

Pretty sharp ride home. Legs feeling good.

Quick ride in.

Cycling 55:00 [3]

Felt another headache coming on towards the end of the day. Figured a cruisy ride home would be better cure than a busy bus ride.
