shoes: Sea Vanquish
Steady trip to the pipeline, turning early at the junction. One of those gloriously peaceful evenings.
Had a read of the history boards near where I launch. There's a photo from the top of my paddle taken in 1890 - hasn't changed.
Also shows a journal entry from the trip Governer Philip took there in 1788 looking for land. It describes it as
"the most desert wild and solitary seclusion the imagination can form any idea of".
No wonder I enjoy the morning paddle so much. Seclusion with the benefit of an espresso machine 10 minutes away. Best of both worlds, to quote the minister for the environment.
