Running 1:42:00 [3] 17.6 km (5:48 / km)

The intention was just to kill some time while waiting for Annika at softball training, but ended up somewhat suprisingly as a really nice run.

Headed off from Curl Curl oval with vague plans to head towards Manly. Down the beach, then around the headland boardwalk. Paused to watch the cranking surf (and rock fisherman tempting fate), then down across the sand at Freshie and over headland to Manly and thru' to Shelley Beach.

Then thru' the hole in the wall and explored North Head. Would be a great place for an o event. Has it been mapped yet? Tooled around a bit then back to Curly (ending up in the middle of the 'soft sand classic' race on Manly beach for a moment).

Most enjoyable morning.

Kayak 55:00 [3]
shoes: Nelo Vanquish

Pipeline. 12min w.u then 30/60/90/120/150 ladder on even recovery, cruised a bit, then reverse on the way home.

Oh dear, paddled like a runner.

Then off to run the u7 rugby team. Almost loggable.

Pfaffed around at home then easy ride in to town with Katrin at about 11.

As I went past a group of kids walking from the ova backl to the school, I heard a little voice in the middle say, "Hey, that's Annika's dad.". Made sure I was out of earshot before anyone had the chance to say "Shouldn't you be at work?"

Running 35:00 [3]

Bad case of the cbf's, but wandered out for an Opera house loop. First run post-XPD, and ironically bump in to and end up runing with XPD team-mate Hugh.

Katrin has decided to have a crack the 24Hr MTB Worlds in October. That pretty much defines the household sporting priorities for the next few months, although Im sure Thomas would say his quest to progress from yellow to blue belt is a much bigger deal.

Transport rather than training to/from physio for the post XPD service. Report card was good. Hips & legs in suprisingly good shape, but had a bit of 'backpack back'. Released spine with the old '1-2 please don't sue'.

Cycling 55:00 [3]

I try to live by the adage "there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes", but that sure was some shitty clothing out there tonight.

Big gear interval up Roseville Hill to get warm.
