Dropped Tom at the skiff club, then drove around to North Harbour and paddled back (its about 2k) - neatly avoiding the hassle of parking in Manly, and getting on the water at the same time.
Back out on the ski when the lads headed out for their race, and enjoyed a bewdiful hour on the water cruising around North Harbour while keeping an eye on the kids at the same time. Watching the kids on a reach with their kite up while catching runs myself, it occurred to me that this was rather more fun than watching softball.
Interesting moment of the day was paddling past a couple of chaps fishing from a tinnie. Paused to see what one of them had hooked as the rod-bend suggested a decent sized catch. Was rather impressed when he pulled up a 3 foot shark. Hmm.
